Photography magazine suggestion?

I'm so far behind it's not funny and I'm trying to find the best Photography magazine to give as a subscription to my SO. He has a 40D and seems really into all the different magazines at the bookstore, but of course I paid no attention.

Any help would be GREAT!

How much do you want to spend?

The best photography magazines, IMO, are all published in the UK, and will run you ~$150 for a one-year subscription if you're in the US. There is even one that is exclusive to Canon cameras, although it's name slips my mind right now. If I were you, I'd probably go to the local bookstore and pick up the most recent issue of several photography magazines for him, and then see which one meets his needs best before you get a subscription.... because if his interest is in portraiture, then a magazine that offers a lot of landscape tips & tricks won't be that useful.

Bah, humbug to the magazines!

From what I have seen all the (U.S.) magazines are woefully outdated by the time they are printed, and are little more than shills for their advertisers.

I might go for a subscription to Luminous Landscape's video journals.

I've been enjoying my NAPP membership. It's Photoshop rather than Photography directly photography related. Good magazine. Good website. Is it worth $100/year? The jury is still out.
