Lately I have been seeing pictures of inside the BB.. Lovely pictures of the food, the atmosphere, the people (all in flash photography I am assuming since it is so dark in there). My concern is this... are we *allowed* to take pictures inside the Blue Bayou with our flashes?

I have heard both sides of the complaining against it. The riders in the boats don't like it when the people in the BB are taking pictures. The customers in the BB get annoyed when the people in the boats are taking pictures.

My thoughts... I would LOVE to be able to take pictures while I'm dining inside the Blue Bayou. We are celebrating my friends 21st birthday there so I would like to document the occasion. I have never minded others taking pictures around me. I just don't want to anger someone else..

So feel free to enlighten me :)

The ride where it passes the BB is not really the part they are worried about flash photos. And I see no reason why you couldn't take pictures flash or otherwise in the resturant. Anything can be annoying if it is done in execces, but a few pictures just shouldn't be an issue to anyone.

I was there on my anniversary, and our server took several pictures *for* us, so I can't imagine that it's not allowed.

Personally, I've always tried to keep my picture taking to a minimum as to not disturb other people in the BB, but I don't think a few flashes should be that irritating. As long as people aren't ridiculous and taking 500 pictures, I don't see it as a big deal. It's your 21st, you HAVE to take pics :)

I have to second this - I did get annoyed with people on the ride taking photos when I ate there last week, but like she said, it's usually not a problem unless they are doing it in excess (as this one boat was doing along with their obscene comments). Last year I took a couple of flash photos, but this year left the flash off, just for the contrast. Normally everyone is pretty understanding, again, so long as you aren't taking a lot. We all want the photos!

leggyb-
when we were there last Sept I took a few photos of my group at our table and our server offered to take a group photo.
Other guests around us were taking pictures too, I honetly didn't notice if the guests riding on POTC were bothered..our table wasn't waterside:mad:

I think when you are paying those high prices for BB ($150 lunch for 4) you can take as many pictures as you want!;)

Thanks everyone! That makes me feel better now.. I just didn't want to get scolded by the staff or anger any hungry tourists for taking a couple of pictures. I'll be sure to post my pictures in my TR when I return! :)
