Photographing Pets

This is the stray cat that has come to live at my house.... I call her Miss Kitty, because of the spot on her nose (if anyone ever saw Gunsmoke and remembers Miss Kitty from the show...). So she is now stopping by and coming inside the house sometimes. She explored some today.... and I didnt realize how emotionally torn I would be. I want another cat, but today I realized I still miss George... a LOT. Miss Kitty though, has been wonderful! and I got a God Wink from her (I think more than once too!)

dcg0317 ur pictures brought a tear to my eye. We had a Dachsand only black and Tan. and his name was Tiny. He had serious back problems so the Vet offered to take him. i will post some pictures of him tomorrow.
thanks for letting me remember my sweet tiny:goodvibes

Excellent shots as usual, dcg0317! What lens did you use? I love how he is bounding through the snow! What a cute dog! :goodvibes

Thanks princesskelz, can't wait to see your pics of your Dachsand.
Thanks geetey, I used Canon's 300 mm f/4 lens on these shots, the last 3 I had canon's 1.4 extender on also. Thanks again.

Nice shot, Sha... I'm glad you found eachother!

We just adopted Watson from the pound last week. He's 5 y.o. Bluetick Coonhound.

As you can see he didn't take long to make himself at home, these were taken on his first day in the house. He's really bonded with my son (aka, Watson's pillow). They fell asleep that way.

Donald_Fan!! Love the photos of your new family member!! Blue-ticks are great dogs - they have such character!! My granddad had one for years that was just an awesome dog - very well behaved and quite the people pleaser! What a delite to know that you rescued him as well!! :)

A little birdie told me a certain someone has puppy pictures and she's not sharing them with us.

Anyone else want to see some adorable little chocolate labs? :dogdance:

Yes please! :cheer2: Yes please!! :cheer2:

When I picked up my car from the shop today, one of the service guys had his two 11 week old English Mastiff pups there. There are 30 and 31 pounds! BIG puppies!!

We went to see our Westie pup again. Here he is at 5.5 weeks old.

I just snapped this one of my Grace yesterday. She was standing in sleet during an ice storm (and not wanting it in her eyes) yet still wanting me to play Jolly Ball with her. It looks as if she is having such fun in that bad weather that she is laughing! (So typical of Grace, who is always, ALWAYS smiling)

This is one of my favorite photos, simply because it captures so well the bond that developed over the years of being of agility team. Augusta would do anything for me. Here we are celebrating her 9th championship. She will retire later this year.

I wish I could take credit to taking this picture, but it was done at one of our shows. This is Grace, trying hard to follow in Augusta's footsteps as she zooms out of a tunnel.

My hubby took this one of Grace. She can really fly!

Those are beautiful shots, Quicklabs. (Taken with your E-500, right? ;) ) I love the one on the chair together.

I will have to try to find some of the film shots I took when my Cody did agilty, they're deep in the attic somewhere.

Louie the "brat" prince of the family, feels he should command the respect of a Mastiff...we don't have the heart to tell him he is a Chihuahua.

Cubby full of fun and life, never met a plush chew toy he didn't like!

Jojo holds a very special place in my heart seeing he was a dog we rescued from an abusive owner. He warms my heart with all the love he has to give, it also breaks my heart when I think back to how scared he use to be when we first got him.
