Hi everyone! My old cat, Flower has to go in for surgery tomorrow. He has an infected tumor on his belly. They gave him antibiotics to get ride of the infection, but they're not sure if the tumor is internal or external. If its external they can remove it, but I guess if its internal they can't do anything. We think its a good sign that he is eating, sleeping, and doing his business normally.

Please, keep him in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow.

Aww didn't see this until just now...I hope he's okay

I have three kitties that are actually mine, and two kitties who seem to think they're mine. So sometimes I really do feel like I have five cats.

Not one of my best pictures, but my oldest kitty Gambit. He's my 20 pound ball of love... and is sitting on my shoe in this picture. I'm not sure why, he just does that. Yup, he's named after the X-Men character.

Next is Gadget, who is a total and complete diva. She runs the house and knows it. She's also named after the character from Rescue Rangers.

Tex is our little ninja. She likes to lurk in the shadows and attack me, particularly when I'm going upstairs. She doesn't do it to DH, just me! But when she's not trying to kill me she's all love and purr and cute. We were a bit concerned when she was a kitten because one of her eyes kept (and keeps) getting darker, but the vet tells us it's fine and she can definitely see, so now we just think it's cool. She's named after a character from Red vs Blue. Clearly DH and I are geeks.

Outside there's Rose, who actually belongs to the people across the street but she spends most of her time at my house. I can't imagine asking someone else if I can have their cat (it just seems rude to me) but my secret hope is that one day her owner will ask me if I want her. I love this cat just as much as I love my own.

And lastly there's Charlie, the neighborhood stray. I can't talk DH into taking him in, but he gets taken care of by us as well as our neighbors. There's a food dish, water dish and blanket on my front porch because of this cat.

My daily routine seems to be to come inside, love on my cats some, then go outside to love on Rose and Charlie, then go back inside so I don't die from heat, then go back outside because Rose will still be there (Charlie might), then cuddle with Tex on the couch, and then go to bed, where Gambit will accost me until he gets bored or I go to sleep. Then Gadget will wake me up in the middle of the night for pets. Seriously, my day revolves around cats. If I wasn't married I'd be the "crazy cat lady" for sure.

DH mowed over a snake in the pasture the other day...:scared1: Buzzards took most of it away, but Kacie found what they had left.....GROSS!!!!

That is gross! 2 summers ago I took Hershey up to Maine to visit a friend, Hershey found a dead muskrat on the property and would sneak off to roll in it every chance she got. She smelled HORRIBLE!! Anywhere we'd move it she'd seek it out. She didn't try to eat it though!
