Ann, I think we need some pictures of the doggie watermelon fest! :cool1:

Ask and you shall receive. No one said it was pretty though!

Great shots Ann! I would try that but somehow Raleigh would find a way to drag the rinds in the house.

One for today, he is the only one in the house that I can practice my flash on.

AWWW! I love my dachshunds! Is he a barker and a submissive pee'er like mine is?

Unfortunately he is a dog that should be in one dog family. He is a barker but he can be agressive when the others get excited. My friend is looking for a home for him where he can be the only spoiled one. She has to watch him closely when the others start barking or getting excited for any reason. He is very loveable but also very protective of her and can't deal when he isnt the center of attention.

My Jack has to be the center of attention too. He has to be touched constantly and if you take your hand off of him for a second, he barks at you. Thankfully he isn't agressive, but I can totally see it in his eyes and the way he quivers his lips, that he could be. We love him to death but he can be a bit annoying. We always joke that we could never give him away because someone would kill him. Wait, that wasn't really a joke though...well it is to us.

Here's my crazy boy Jonas. It's hard to get good pictures of him because he doesn't sit still often!! :rotfl:

We've had a ton of rain so the neighbors dry pond had some water in it! The dogs were in heaven! Griffey loves water!

Here's Olive. She showed up about 3 weeks ago about 2 steps away from dying from starvation. But we got some food into her, took her to the vet for shots and got her fixed on Monday and she's doing great! :thumbsup2

She's recovering now in my DD's room but I think she's ready to go back outside.

It looks like Olive knew which house to go to! She is a lucky girl:goodvibes
We have a cat named Franklin that had a similar story. He showed up more than a year ago starving. He now is king of my bed!
Btw...I was just searching for this thread. Thanks for posting, Michelle!

Here is Hershey from a hike this week.
Hiking out to Bondcliff(which is 9 miles out into the Pemi Wilderness)

Crashing in the tent after 18+ miles, taken with the flash since it was after dark by the time we got back(the hike was 18 miles but Hershey runs back and forth so we don't know how far she ends up going)

I wonder where Olive was before she found us. People keep telling me that "I knew you would keep her". It's more like "she kept us" because she is an outside cat free to come and go, but everytime I go out there she is chilling on the hay keeping the horses company! :goodvibes Why would she leave?? Food and water twice a day and she's got a safe place to sleep!

MY dog keeps amazing me. He is really hard to get a nice face shot of.

I ask Franklin all the time where he came from. We live in a residential neighborhood, not very many, if any, homeless cats. I wonder if someone drove him here and dropped him off? Or he just wandered and got lost? It will always be a mystery- he's not talking! He's staked claim to my bed- he only goes out late at night, which is funny because when he 1st showed up, he would only come late at night. Now he will cry under my bedroom window to come in anywhere from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m.:rolleyes1 He didn't leave the house once from last Oct. when DH brought him in, until summer when it warmed up.
