Ok, I admit, I'm Paul and I like looking at the food pictures.

{{hi, Paul}}

So here's the question: Is it ok that we photograph our food or is that a step too far?

I took pictures of many of my dishes at Disney. In fact by the end my daughter (4 years old) was saying, "mommy take a picture of my food so I can eat." LOL I tried not to use the flash to I would attract attention to myself though.

That is a priceless memory :clown:

These are some of the photos I took when I was at Disney in Dec:
I even took some pictures of the meal I made on Valentines Day.

We cruised with a family who thought I was completely nuts for photographing food.

But by the end of the week they were holding up their plates for me. :)

i think someplace like disney with a discreet camera( ie no tripods, giant white lenses, off camera flash with slaves ) is ok but i don't think i'd try it at some 5 star place in the real world:rotfl:

I agree, I can't imagine doing it anyplace other than Disney. Although I did actually do it at home the other night. We made something new and liked the presentation, so DH said why don't you take a picture. I think we're just in the habit since we are just back from Disney.

I took this picture in a Pennsylvania restaurant, my server was freaking out, because they messed up my order twice, so when I came back in with my camera and started taking pictures, I'm sure she thought I was documenting the problems....LOL when in reality this was a gift left for me by another customer

pretty awesome isn't it..

one of the performers at the PA REnn FAirre , was the mud faerry{from New Zealand}, she would of course sculpt things out of mud, being a mud faerrie she does no speak..throughout the season I would stop by, watch her work, and take pictures, the last weekend I stopped for dinner after the Fairre, she walked in with some friends, I talked to her briefly thanking her for a season of entertainment,, later I went to the mens room and when I returned, this plate was waiting on my table...:thumbsup2

after laughing hysterically I went to the car for my camera...

I think it's completely OK to photograph food.
Here's a photo of a tray of brownies I took at church last weekend. People made fun of me, but they still ate the brownies.

Hi everyone,
My name is Mark, and my wife and I are addicted to Food-porn. I have tried to quit, but nothing helps. I look at a little bit of food from disney just to hold me over until the next "hit"...Yes, We are guilty of food photography.

Nothing wrong with a little food photography. If you haven't seen it already, make sure to check the "food porn" threads over on the restaurant boards!

Here's the Mickeylodeon from The Plaza:

And here's my favorite food in WDW!

We bought several and had some in our hotel room the next morning. :teeth: (It's nice having the microwave in the DVC rooms!)

Then there's my after-Thanksgiving sandwich at home...
