My daughter is getting engaged in Disney but does not know it. Yay. My future son in law is having a hard time trying to get a photographer. He has contacted Disney without much luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should he just use a photo pass photographer last minute or book an outside one. He wants to make this perfect for her. Thanks

I'm assuming he wants photos of the proposal and that we're not talking about engagement photo session. It would depend on what exactly he's doing and where. Photopass photographers generally do a good job of these kinds of moments, but you'd have to be at a spot where there is such a photographer. Will he need help from any other cast members? He'd need to arrange that ahead of time too, but usually not more than a few days ahead. Sometimes, guest services can link you up with the right people. Sorry to be so vague, but without knowing more details, it's kind of hard to tell in what direction to point you.

My fiancé proposed in front of a photo pass photographer on Main Street USA. We has taken a pic of the 4 of us (he has two kids), and he just said to the photographer "can you take a few more pictures?" And then got down on one knee. Surprised he pulled it off that well considering he had never been to Disney. Not sure if you can hire someone specifically... Disney doesn't do "engagement sessions" at MK but does at the other three parks... You can look up photo pass photographer locations and get a general idea... And if he goes that route, buy the photo pass disk so they'll have rights to their images.

No chance any parents or friends will be there right? My fiance's parents were in the park with us when he proposed - his parents said they wanted to get pictures of us in front of the castle and that was when he proposed! There has been plenty of stories of guys tipping off a photopass photographer about their plans while their soon-to-be fiance is in the bathroom/purchasing something/waiting for a snack, etc

He is looking for proposal pictures. There will be 10 of us there at that time, but he wants to do it alone. I did suggest photo pass. That will probably the best option. I just wasn't sure how far in advance to to plan. Seems like it will be the day of.

I'd also say check out the photo pass locations map. Not that it's set in stone, but they go all the way up Main Street (if he's planning at MK! I guess I'm just assuming here!). Had I even an inkling, I would have told him this in advance so our pictures were a little closer. I'm SO glad to have them, but they def could have been better.
