PhotoCD Pre Purchase Questions??

I'm just wondering if anyone has done the PhotoCD Pre Purchase? It costs $119.00 to purchase it ahead of your trip. I'm a little technically challenged, so I'm wondering if that price is just for all your pictures to be loaded onto a CD? I usually buy 4x6 pictures to frame, a photo book and some mugs with our disney pictures on them. Would it be worth it for me to do the pre purchase? Thanks for all your help.

Yes. You get a disc with all your pictures with that price then, you can use cd together prints from anywhere. Also-just an idea but there are photoshare groups on Facebook. Just search photo pass share and it should pop up. You have to request to join group. We just did it. Saved lots of $!!!!

Yes, that price is for all the photos to be loaded onto a CD. You can make the photo book, just like normal -- but it's probably a LOT cheaper to take the pictures and make a photo book on Shutterfly or something. Then you can add photos that you take, as well as the Photopass pix.

I did a share on FB as well -- it worked REALLY well.

It includes the stock photos whether you want them or not, but also includes all the traditional PhotoPass photos and ride & restaurant photos on a CD that comes with the copyright release so you can make prints anywhere. It costs $149 for the pre-order and you can only get the pre-order price if you order 14 or more days before your arrival.

Also remember the photopass plus includes physical printed pictures offered at some character meals. For example, at the polynesian ohana character breakfast they will take a picture of you and your family while you are waiting for your table. Then, during your meal they will tempt you by presenting you with the actual pictures (printed out). They let you look at them while you decide if you want to pay extra for them. But..... with the photo pass plus you get these pictures at no additional cost.

It has been a while since I ordered a PhotoPass CD, but if I recall correctly the standard shipping is 7-10 days. The way it works is that after your trip, you enter the codes from your cards, then you have 30 days to edit, resize, and add borders/decorations to your photos. When your edits are complete you order the CD using the code provided in the pre-order confirmation, and it is shipped to you. So how long it takes is largely up to you and how long you take in the editing process before placing the final order.
