Photo with E.T.

My husband and I are bringing our 7 year old daughter to Universal over Thanksgiving (I know - bad time to go!). None of us have ever been and I am so EXCITED about Harry Potter ! My daughter, on the other hand, recently saw E.T. and she is obsessed ! I know there is a ride, but it there anywhere in the park to get a photo take with him?
PS: any info or tips you can give about the overall visit is also welcome. With it being our first time, I want to be able to do as many things as possible. We did by a 2 day ticket. We are also spending 2 days at Sea World and 1 day at the Magic Kingdom (have been at Disney numerous times!)

just bak wed the 17/10 our first time , harry doesnt walk around the park anywhere, as for ET the ride is awesome , but ecause of copy rights after you get off the ride in the store you can sit on the bike and they take yr pic by the moon. if you ride cat in the hat hold tight the first jerk is jerky i wasnt expecting it (have implants in my back) , if you are staying at one of their sponsered resorts you get free express pass its awesome we had fun here at IOA anUniversal . lots of simulator rides , in men in black when it says dont push red button at end push button anyway you will be glad you did ,plan on getting very very wet on any water rides have fun

Yes, you can buy a photo with ET at the gift shop after the ride. Like your daughter I was ET obsessed so we headed straight back to that ride and it wasn't even operating yet! Now you're going at a busy time so maybe it will be for you, but for us we take our time in getting back there. There's a pressed penny machine there so take some quarters for that.
