Photo size limit question

I rarely post pics, but decided to post a pic a day until I coukd write a TR. I was thrilled to see I can post directly now, but can't seem to make them show up except as the little thumbnail that the reader has to click to open.

But after two pics, every one I've tried to post (all taken with my iPhone 6) have said they're too large to load. Is the limit really that low? There's no convenient way to resize files from the phone, is there?

Any clues on either of these? TIA!

Photo size limit is 1MB. There are a couple of posts on the Tech Support Forum about posting pictures, and I believe someone posted about an app they downloaded to their phone that re-sizes easily. Good luck and enjoy your vacation!
