So now the trendy thing here is to have a fisheye, so you all forget about the UWA thread? Figures, it's the story of my life to be one step behind. But that's OK, I'm good with it.
If ever there was a day to have an UWA, this was it:

I think the big thing is that some of the most frequent contributors to this thread have recently purchased fisheye lenses and the novelty of the "new" toy has yet to wear off. I am a huge UWA fan, but I used it for less than 10% of my shots this trip, versus over half last August and October. Either the 70-200 or fisheye was on my camera nearly 75% of the time.

Don't mean to interrupt the incredible photos but I have quick question. When you guys are doing HDR, I know about the bracketing. I can only do 3 as I have a Rebel Xti. My question is, how do you get people perfectly still with no blur when blending the photos? Every time I try one there are always ghost like artifacts where the people moved. Just as a reference I am using photomatix and photoshop cs3 as post processing tools.
I think I did take a couple series of bracketed shots there and am hoping to figure out that HDR thing soon.....
It was an amazing spot. My favorite sight on a trip full of amazing views. I had seen it on Flickr and read the blurb that said it was right off the highway in Page, AZ. So we made it be on the way. I didn't realize that "right off the highway" meant a 1 3/4 mile hike through deep sand. We were all very tired after hiking around some other parks, then 3 days at Disneyland, so my legs said no. But then we decided to give it a go. Can you believe we considered for a moment getting that close and not seeing it????
