Bumping. And yeah, i know I can just subscribe, but I'd rather bump! It gives me a reference point of how long it takes me to get caught up.:thumbsup2

You guys are really blowing me away right now! These have been really amazing!

Quick question.... when you bracket, how far off are you setting your stops? I finally bracketed some shots at the Grand Canyon in hopes that I will soon figure out how to do my own HDR shots..... and to up my odds of getting the exposure right on at least ONE! In looking at them, even having it set and +/- 1/3 or 2/3 it seemed like a huge difference. Is that typical? I can't even imagine what I would have gotten at +/- 1 or 2! (I'm using an Xsi that only brackets 3 shots).

Depending on the scene and range of light, you'll need to bracket more like 5 shots. I have friends that have bracketed up to 7 shots at 1 stop difference. I normally just bracket 3 shots as, like you, my camera will only do that automatically. In that case I always shoot at +/- 2 stops and I've gotten some really nice results. But there have been situations where I've had to shoot 5 brackets. You just have to learn to judge the situation.
Good luck with your HDR. It can become addictive.

One other thing, when I shoot 5 brackets I'll normally do those at +/- 1.5 stops. That way I'll have a range from +/- 3 stops. I've found that range to work well in very contrasty environments. But again every locale/situation is different.

For HDR, most use -2, 0 +2 which is what I use mostly as my camera only does 3 in autobracket like yours does. You need that much difference to capture the range of light in most scenes.
