Still a newbie here so any suggestions on pic or post pic editing?

Here are a couple of my best pictures that I am very proud of. I have over 3000 shots from the 4 days of concerts.

Very nice shots! What camera/lens were you using? What did you find were your best settings? I assume you shot RAW.

I have yet to shoot in RAW format and don't use any post processing. I shoot all Jpeg and maybe do some simple tweeks. Prefer the natural looks to shots. Just take too many pics on vacations etc and just don't have the time to sit and review/edit each pic. Maybe someday...

This was my first time shooting a concert with my new A57. I was using the kit 70-300 lens. I played around a little bit with settings, but I stayed with the Sport setting because of the performers moving around a lot (Jake Owen barely stayed still during his whole performance). I have never shot in RAW, only in JPEG.

The last couple of years with my old camera I take around 2000 shots during CMA Fest, but with this new camera, this year I took almost 3600!! There is no way I would have time to edit all of them. I put them through Picasa and did some simple editing on the pictures but that is about it.

Thanks for the input!! I will have to work on that. I also want to load up photoshop on my laptop (I had to take it off my old one because the laptop couldn't handle it). I want to play around with that and do some edited shots (along with doing some hockey ones also). That is the reason I have the photoshop.

See you can get good shots in JPEG. :thumbsup2 Anyway, I pretty much am where you are Jpeg pics with some editing through Picasa or the edit software that came w/ the A55.

Used sport setting? You must have been up close or the stage lighting must have been pretty good.
