Kat, I love your wolf, singin' in the rain, etc shots! Can you tell me what lens you used for them? And how did you get the wolf shot to be so perfect, with the pitch black background? :confused3

I took a pix of the singin' in the rain guy last year -- using my point & shoot -- and it reaked! Blurry and dark as all get-out. I really, really want to learn how to get beautiful shots like yours! Hopefully with the 5N, at least I'll have a little better chance, even if I don't understand everything about photography like you guys do.

I'm thinking now that the first lens i really need to buy for my 5N is the Sony 16mm pancake! Since i have the kit 18-55, I think i need something both smaller and wider for Disney. That, and maybe a filter or two, and a bag, and a...

Great pic. Just picked up the Sony 16-50 f/2.8 for my A55. Could you share other info on this pic? Shutter speed, handheld, tripod, post processing etc? That would be great. Thanks!

From Flickr:
Exposure: 30
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal Length: 16 mm
ISO Speed: 100

This is all from one shot, but I exported multiple versions into photoshop and masked in and out the different exposures to come up with something akin to a single-exposure HDR (although I did not run this through Photomatix).

I'm trying to remember if I used the GorillaPod SLR-Zoom or Gitzo 1542t on this. It was taken on a tripod though.

Thanks Hamilton, I'm likin' your WWOHP shots. Mine shot the Tokina 11-16. I find myself using the Rokinon fisheye alot just like you. I used it more than the Tokina on my past trip. I have a friend with a newborn who asked me to take some photos next week. I'm going to see how the 7 does in my home makeshift studio.

Seeing these pics makes me want to go back with my good camera so badly. I had just my Sony Cybershot last time and I got some OK shots, but I'm so wanting to do it with my good camera and share it with you guys. LoL!

Tropical Wilds, I look forward to seeing some more of your shots.

Thanks. :)

Last time I went, I just had my Cybershot and I'm impressed with what I got, but I know I can get a bunch more with a better camera.

Beautiful castle shot, Harry! I see the lens as a 20mm 2.8, but the focal length as 16mm. Was this shot with the 16mm 2.8? The details are awesome.

Great shot as well, Tropical Wilds ! :D

This FOTLK shot I grabbed with the Sigma 50mm 1.4 on the LA-EA2. It's such a luxury to be able to shoot at 1/250 indoors.

Hamilton, THAT'S a great shot. I love the colors. How did you go about processing this? I've haven't posted lately because I'm photographing a friend's newborn Sunday. I've been running around looking for blankets and props. I'm actually really nervous even though it's for a friend. I've been spending my evenings on YouTube watching newborn videos. I'm used to shooting candids of family and friends, nothing staged. I'm doing this at my house so I'm looking at lighting (natural with reflector and constant light/umbrella). I'll see how the 7 does.

Harry, I didn't really do much to the FOTLK photo to be honest. I raised the vibrancy and adjusted the contrast, but for the most part that shot is basically how I took it which is pretty shocking.

The Sigma is a brilliant lens and the 7 is a monster with lowlight, so it worked out perfectly.

I also LOVE your railroad shot. I don't think I've ridden it since getting a camera of capability, so I'll have to revisit it for sure, along with the river boat.

Hamilton, I don't know why it list the lens as a 20 f2.8. I was shooting with the Tokina. I hear people bashing the 7's lowlight capability and noise but you have just proved that it can handle at least 3200!
