We certainly appreciate your dedication! Great job.![]()
Thank you Fractal
On a side note, I had someone get pissed off at me and block me on Facebook because I asked them to take down one of my photos they were using without me knowing. Someone my wife and I met at the park with the kids and had a few play dates with so was no loss on my part but he flipped out when I asked him to take it down or at least give me credit. I would have let him use it if he only just asked, which is the right thing to do right?
So he's mad because he stole something from you? He's not only a thief, but also rude and ignorant.
Yeah pretty much. It was pretty random that I even saw it. It came across my news feed that he posted a pic and sure enough it was mine. He said I was childish and acting like a 12 years old when all I did was ask for him to either take it down or give me credit. And honestly if it was a friend or someone I knew really well I wouldn't have cared but since he really someone we hardly knew and I didn't appreciate it too much. Then his response was the icing on the cake. So long buddy![]()
Was it a picture you took of his family (which technically you would still own but I'd be able to understand ), or was he stealing 1 of your landscapes?
Do any of you guys use Instagram? This is an extremely common thing on Instagram. People will repost your photos and claim them as their own....
...and they will fight tooth and nail to defend themselves when you call them out for being thieves. This has happened to me multiple times and each time the person who stole my picture acted enraged and shocked. The best is when they create fake stories about when they took the picture. Haha
Mike, great sunrise shots!
He should've just asked to use it.
It was the landscape I posted yesterday with the silhouette of the life guards stand and the sun rising.
Some people...
I forget the website, but there is a site that exposes supposedly professional photographers who use stolen photos in their own sites.
Fractal, this is an awesome photo.![]()
Thanks Harry. Im still waiting to see yours![]()
I wouldn't have mind at all if he asked and even after the fact gave him the option of just giving me credit and he didn't want to bother. Oh well.
My wife wants me to start using a watermark but id rather not have anything in my picture. After a little Googling I see a company called Digimarc has a digit watermark you can trace. Anyone have any experience with this or anything else similar?
