GREAT pic Jeff, love the color!

I had an awesome day today. I got up at 4:30am and drove an hour and half to get to the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in Kleinfeltersville, PA. It is one of the stop over points for migrating snow geese, Canadian geese, tundra swans and various other water fowl. Fridays numbers were posted as being approximately 45,000 snow geese and 1200 tundra swans with more arriving by the hour. Going there to see them can sometimes be hit or miss because if they dont have waste grains in nearby fields to feed on they don't stay long. Their normal stay is at best a few days as it is. This is one of the many pictures I took this morning while they were on the water. About 9:30-10:00 they started moving off to the fields to feed. I still have to pp the pics from the fields and post them but the other pics are up.

Jeff, that is an incredible set of shots.

My DD15 HS had a chorus show last night. The Men's Ensemble did Mel Brook's "Men in Tights", I mean tight tights. :rolleyes1

I just wanted to thank you all for being a huge inspiration to me. I took a photo class way back in high school on a 35 mm camera.. I started browsing these boards and remembered how much I enjoyed it and was completely inspired by your shots... I had a point and shoot camera and it just wasn't doing anything for me. After thinking about it some i went out and bought a nikon d5000 and enrolled in a local photo group. I am loving the camera so far. I know i am way out of practice and can't hope to be as good as you all, but I hope you don't mind me popping over, learning from you all and maybe eventually sharing some of my shots.

Anyway, thanks again for reminding me that farmville is not a healthy creative outlet and that there IS something out there i enjoy :)
