This is a shot from inside Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World. There's a series of panels created in tile telling the Cinderella story, so I decided to grab some snapshots of them, mostly because I appreciated the effort it takes to create a scene like this, much less an entire story.

Of course, this particular panel made me think a bit. Doesn't it seem like Fairy Godmothers were the scam artists of the whole fairy-tale universe? They prey upon the young, unsuspecting and disenfranchised people. They promise all sorts of wonderful things, but, before you know it, it all blows up in the poor kid's face and she's running for her life. People often think of the Fairy Godmother with fond memories, but she's really a trouble-maker who promises things she can't deliver.

You know I'm right.

Have you watched the show on ABC (I think) called "Once Upon A Time"? They've touched on this idea in more than one episode.

Love the shot too.

Yeah, and it comes on tonight again. I honestly wasn't sure when I started watching it, but I kinda like it. Do you think it's wrong that I'm a fan of the evil queen? She makes a lot of sense, you know.

I shot some family photos for an old childhood friend, today, and while I was taking some test shots to get my settings straight, I looked over and saw his mother in law holding her newborn grandson - this ended up being my favorite shot of the whole day!
