I thought I would post some from our trip to China this past July.

This is the Giant Buddha at the Po Lin Monastery at Lantau Island (near Hong Kong) on a misty day.

Just to give an idea of the size, the little white dots along the base of the Buddha are people

I think I finally caught this a few posts later...but did you say this was the Grand Californian??
OMG..it's gorgeous!! Is the Grand Floridian similar at all? (obviously never been to either)

They are both ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, but COMPLETELY different! You can see the theme of the Californian there, but the Grand Floridian is turn of the century Victorian style. (They even have a restaurant called VICTORIA and Alberts.) It's done in a lot of whites/pastels and very... well, "Victorian".

The Grand Floridian was based off the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. I don't have a picture of the GF but I do have one of the "Del".......
