I don't know exactly why but for some reason I just like this shot of a commonly photographed scene taken with my G9 last December:

At Panama City Beach, Florida during Spring Break. That 2nd pier is 5-miles away.

Canada Geese on the campus of the University of South Alabama. The goofy looking faces of these two geese just crack me up every time.

I got my first DSLR camera for Christmas (from myself :)), it's a Canon Rebel T3i. I took this shot last week at a Disney Resort. The mama duck, and her babies had just hopped in the pool. I snapped a bunch of pictures ~ this is my favorite one.

I just love the colors of the water, and the clarity of the ducks. The photo was not edited in any way. Boy do I love my new camera!

I took a trip to Boston and Vermont over Christmas this year (yeah, I live in AL and I went back home to New England in the WINTER! Smart man I am...), and while waking from Kenmore Square to the Museum of Fine Art via The Fenway, I spotted this little guy looking down on me. He may as well have been posing.

As a note: This image is not cropped...

Cafeen - Nice shot. And nice to see you back on the Dis.
Thanks Princess :). I stayed away as I was not planning on going this year and knew if I was around, then I'd not be able to resist.

Granted, I wasn't able to resist anyway, so I came back :).

And for today's shot... for some reason, the little pond next to my office building is blooming with some very vibrant, very pretty dragonflies right now. Of course, being a photonerd, this does not bug me one bit! (No pun intended...or maybe it was...)

(Lately, it seems I can keep that 250mm tag on every photo I take!)

I'm also getting ready to head on over to a local park this morning (hence me being up before 7am on a Saturday) as well as the Mobile (that's "Moe-beel" ;)) Botanical Gardens... that is, if I can get off the computer and get ready to head out ><.

I was able to go see one of my favorite singers in concert the other night. I wasn't sure if I'd be allowed to take in my camera, so I only brought my camera and the one lens. My Sigma 30mm 1.4.

At one point I got up to go take a picture closer to the stage. They didn't let us stay there, but they let us go up and take a few pictures. I knelt down in front so I didn't get in anyone's way. This was 30mm. ISO 400, f2.5 1/60 of a second.

I headed down to Mobile Botanical Gardens yesterday (and now realize that I REALLY need a macro lens!) and walked around Municipal Park. We have flocks and flocks of Canada Geese there (doesn't everywhere?) and for some reason, I have a strong affinity for those birds. Don't know why, they're as common as anything, and they're rather annoying really... but it is what it is.

At any rate, these two were hanging out together on one of the islands in the pond in the park. I was lucky enough to catch several images of them flying together. I like how it's two different species just hanging out and doing their own thing. Fight the system!

I was playing with some post processing work and really like how this one came out.
