photo sessions

I called today and they said you could book your photo session at the four different locations 30 days in advance so I will be able to book one in a few days. I need suggestions. Which one have you done, was it worth your time and money, anyone have pics they can share!!

We've done GF and SSR. They were both FANTASTIC. I will never go to WDW again without scheduling our family photo shoot. I'm sure the photographer we got each time helped form my opinion....they were both amazing with my young DS and took TONS of pics to make sure we got some good ones. For what it costs to do a photo session at home (with the same tired backgrounds and poses as everyone else around!), this is a DEAL. We've staying at BCV on our next trip, so I'm planning to have our pics done there next.

I wish I could post some of my pics, but I'm unfortunately picture-posting-challenged. If you hop over to the Resorts board (I think it's the resorts board??), they have some threads with lots of pics posted, though.

We have done the one at GF. We were so pleased with it that we are going to do it again there when we vacation in Dec and June. I am hoping that we can ask for the same photographer that we had last time. She was great and the pictures were better than I have ever had done at home.

In a word, YES. We did the GF photo shoot last year when it was still free if you pre-paid for the PhotoCD. We're doing it again this year and will gladly pay the $25 fee (pre-purchased PhotoCD again this year). Thinking about the Poly this year, but photos I've seen here on the DIS make the Beach Club really inviting too.

Now, like many other posters have pointed out, these aren't exactly professional-quality photos, they're more like pictures taken by your "friend with the really nice camera" if you know what I mean. That said, we had maybe 40-50 pictures to choose from and there are at least 8 hanging on our walls, so we liked them well enough.

We like it because the scenary is beautiful, we're all in the picture as a family, and as the previous poster said, a session with a professional at home would cost a TON more and just not have that "magic" feeling.

I want to do this at the Poly next week maybe (is that even possible)? But I'm afraid with the heat we would all look and feel miserable. Can you give us some ideas of where they took them?

There is a HUGe thread on this ovr on the resorts picture board. FYI it has been reportd that the cost with prepaid cd is going up in Sept to $50 per sesison.

we are booked at beach club for ours on september 14th. we have our new baby boy (5 months) with us for his 1st trip to the USA and disneyworld, so thought it would be great to book at our home resort for our shoot....
