Photo Printer advice

Hi

Now that we have the digital camera (Olympus C-730), I think it's time to get a photo printer. We've been using Shutterfly to develop our photos and I've been very happy with them but, sometimes I want to print our pictures out ASAP. Plus, our paper printer is pretty old and I wouldn't mind replacing it. We have a Gateway Computer - I'm not sure if that plays a factor in making a choice.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

We have the HP photosmart 7150. I know nothing about printers my DH works for Staples and I think it was a free item when we purchased our digital camera (Sony Cybershot). It seems to do just fine for us. One thing, I do much prefer printing on matte finish paper over glossy.

My printer is HP Photosmart 1218, but it is about 2 years old, so I know HP makes much newer models now. It prints great pictures and I prefer using matte finish photo paper over glossy also. But if I have a lot of pictures to print, I have them done at Wal-Mart. In the long run it is quicker(about an hour) and cheaper(the cost of paper AND ink can become quite costly). But when my camera was new I really enjoyed printing them myself.

I have an HP Photosmart 1000, several years old. I rarely print any pictures, but this does a fine job when I do. If I were to replace today, I would seriously consider the Canon 950i, which I have seen reviewed quite favorably several places.

I have an HP 7550 photo printer and Love it...

the quality is excellent, but you must also use quality paper...
