I'm trying to decide if I want to do the Photo Pass CD for our trip. We will be traveling with our 3 little ones who will be 4, 2, and 9 months at the time of our trip. It will be there (as well as my DH's) first trip to WDW. Do the CD's usually get filled up enough to make it worth it? Do you have to go out of the way to find the phtographers?
I'm looking for any pros and cons.
Thanks.

i am also wondering those things...hopefully someone can offer some answers to those questions :)

I would just pre purchase the cd. It is great, and sometimes the best opportunity to get family photos with everyone in them. When you get home look at the pictures, if you are happy order the cd, if you are not they will give you a refund within 2weeks after the end of your trip. So it isnt a committment by pre purchasing.

We are pre-ordering the CD this year. I figure if I don't like the photos, then I can cancel it and no money lost. But if you do like the photos then you save $50. We went 3 years ago and didn't buy the CD but did stop and have our photo taken at pretty much every photo pass place. Some turned out good but we didn't buy any of them. We had the photographer take our photo with our camera too so we just used those. This year I am hoping to do some "magic" shots and add borders so I am hoping the CD will be worth it.

OP I sent you a PM.

If you use the photoshare photographers you can certainly get your money's worth!! Plus the extra things you can have added to the pics once you get them in your account, you can easily have hundreds of pics, and they'll send you as many disks as needed for the same price. With the fact that you save so much prebuying and you can get a refund if you decide you don't want the disk after the trip, it's definitely worth it, what do you have to lose! :goodvibes

And we've never had trouble finding the photographers, they're with most of the characters and wondering around in the most popular photo spots, ie Main Street.

Before we left, I pre-paid for the CD to save $50. We just got back this past Friday and we had approx. 500 pictures in our photopass account. I am still editing the pictures, so I haven't requested my CD's yet, but I have been very happy with the quality of the pictures I'm seeing. True, every picture is not great, but neither are the ones I took personally. Also, there were some places I wish there had been a photopass photographer that there wasn't.

But on balance, I think I have gotten my $99 worth. I like the special things photopass can do, like the balloons, tinkerbell, and stitch. I chose to get the CD because it is so expensive to get prints from Disney. This way, I can order from Snapfish or Sam's club, and get as many as I want, at a much lower price.

And, just so you know, we didn't spend all our time taking pictures. Many of our pictures came from Character meet and greets, but I did make sure we had several pictures taken from different photographers at different times of day around the landmarks to make sure I got some good pics. It is amazing how different the castle and the epcot ball look at different times of day.

This was the first time we used photopass, but I guarantee we will use it again when we go back. I love pictures (we took 1,700 ourselves in addition to the photopass) so this was the cheapest keepsake we got on the trip.

I hope to finish adding special borders to my pictures this week and get my CD ordered.

I hope this has helped.

Randy

PS. I did find out you can still pre-order the cd even after your trip as long as you have not added any of your photopass cards to your online account yet.
