Does Disneyland do Photo Pass? Or is it just WDW? Photo Pass is where they have CM placed all over the park and they will take your pictures for you (you buy the pass) and then at the end of your visit, you can either buy pictures by the sheet or you can buy all of the pictures on a CD. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yes they do, it started this past fall!!

What's the status with this now? Last I heard info about it, they were only up and running with a few locations? And, there were issues with having to get the stuff by the end of the day? Do they have any of these in the character dining locations?
I'm interested, especially since I'm never actually IN the pictures, like I wasn't on vacation with them!

I'm not sure about having them at the end of the day because you can take your card home and look at everything online and order from home! So we did not bother seeing them while we were there. But there were quite a few loctions that I saw!

(you buy the pass)

At least at WDW you do not buy the pass - the first photopass picture you take they scan a card and give it to you, then you get it scanned after each picture taken with one of them. You can get more than one and then combine them when you sign up online to look at your pictures.

DL used to have the photographers give you a slip of paper (with a photo ID # on it), and you had to view/buy your photo by the end of the day because they were deleted overnight.

When DL first began the Photopass (last October) they didn't quite have the photos feeding to the website yet, so you still had to turn your card in at the end of the night to view/buy the photos.

It sounds like the DL Photopass now works the same as WDW Photopass, and I think people have said they used the same pass at both parks, or had one CD burned with photos from both parks (trips were within a certain timeframe, since the photos are on the website for a few months only.)

I can't wait to try it out on our next visit. I also am rarely in any photos since I am the family photographer. With the Photopass, it's well worth the cost of a CD to stop and have your photo taken at every opportunity!

I cannot wait to try PhotoPass out next summer!!! :goodvibes It's like $100 isn't it? We'll be there for 3 weeks and someone stated earlier that you can combine visits (within a certain timespan) so 3 weeks is pefectly fine isn't it?

You also get the pass free in DL, It works pretty much the same as WDW's Photo Pass system, just not sure on whether you can get the CD or view them online as we did neither of these but the card says you can access them online!

We will have longer in September this year so the CD may be a good idea!

My understanding is that it now works just like the WDW photopass. You can order photos or the CD online (same website as WDW), and you can combine multiple cards onto the same CD.

IMO, the CD is well worth the $100! Last trip I bought 6 (5x7) photos, some of them duplicates, and I believe the total was something like $65.

The one remaining question about photopass I have is whether or not the photos taken on rides can now be added to your photopass? I guess that's the way it works at WDW, but last I heard, the ride photos at DL could not be added to the pass...yet.
