Photo Pass Studio at Disney Springs

I don't believe there is any place at Disney Springs with a Photopass photographer.

I am not sure what you are referring to - but there were some photopass photographers near the boat launch/bus stop area in the Marketplace. There was a wall that had an Arendelle postcard on a wall, and my kids had their pics taken in front of that. I am not sure how to resize my photos, or I would upload an example.

My daughter's doing BBB in Disney Springs and we were told when scheduling that there would be PP available during and after, however I don't know if they're exclusive to BBB.

They are likely just exclusive to that. I have never seen a PHotographer at Disney springs otherwise.

In october I ran into photopass photographers in two places, one was near the world of Disney by some topiary. The other was towards the joffreys coffee shop area

When we went on our honeymoon in 2002, they had a studio in downtown Disney but that's been gone for several years.

How many people in your group? Maybe we can recommend something?

When we had our terrible experience with photopass in December, a waitress at Ohana told us we could get pics done at a studio at Disney springs, but no one we asked at Disney springs seemed to know of it and we ran out of time to investigate further.

Yes, there is one in Disney Springs - I looked into it for family photos. It's in the Guest Relations area (in the Marketplace part). They have a photopass location there (to buy prints, etc.) and just a small backdrop. They told me they only have the basic blue background (ie a more formal shot) and not any "Disney-y" options. They were open 10-9 last month (early Jan) when I asked about it but I'd check to be sure if you were going early or late.

A couple more options - also, in the small gift shop behind BBB in MK they have another of the blue backgrounds for kids to get their pics taken after BBB but they told me it was open to anyone. Both of these options are included in photopass or MM.

But what we ended up doing was going to AKL and asking for a photographer. They told us beforehand we might have to wait until someone was free but they would accommodate us as quickly as they could. We probably waited 15 minutes but then she spent about a half hour with us going around the area and getting some great pics. This way we didn't have to worry about dealing with the parks or the long walking distances at DS and got both indoor and outdoor shots. These were all included in our AP Photopass and we didn't pay anything extra! These are a few from the about 50 we had taken:

There is definitely a small photo studio setup by guest services on the marketplace end. There primary purpose has been for BBB pictures, but if they are not busy, Ive been told that anyone can get their picture taken. I've never tested that theory, but as a PP said, it's a really basic setup, so don't expect anything fancy or specifically Disney.

You lucked out. Judging by the pictures it looks like you went during Christmas time, when Photopass does usually have a photographer at most of the big Christmas tree locations. Outside of that time period, the resort photos were shifted to Disney Fine Art Photography (the group that does weddings and charges a fair amount for a 30 min session) and Photopass usually won't do resort photos. Just throwing this out there so people don't head over to AKL expecting to find Photopass photographers just chilling.

The pics I posted were during the week after Christmas, but I first looked into it in early Dec. and they had first told me they could do it then if I was willing to wait. Maybe because the tree was up already they had extra people but I talked to different people both times and they both told me that if I was willing to wait they'd be able to get someone. Do they not do any kind of pics there during the rest of the year (in the lobby, etc.)? Sorry if I confused anyone!

Originally Photopass offered photo sessions at several of the resorts (basically the ones they had a staffed kiosk at). 30 mins, pretty cheap, and the pictures got added to your Photopass account. Then if that Photographer wasn't scheduled to do a session, they would walk around the resort, or setup at a certain location and take pictures of guests, much like they do in park. Then for some reason they shifted the photo sessions to Disney Fine Art Photography, which now tends to be a higher quality session/photographer, but at a much higher price, and cannot be added to Photopass. And since there was now no longer a financial reason to have a Photopass photographer staffed at the resorts for picture purposes, they stopped doing pictures for most of the year. Most of the Photopass CMs that staff the kiosks at the resorts will have their cameras with them, but are usually the only CM staffed, and cannot usually leave their post. I wouldn't be shocked if they offered to take a few pictures on their break, or didn't mind sneaking away from the kiosk for a bit, but I don't think it's an official thing.

Since the trees are usually up from before Thanksgiving, til a few days after NYE, that may have been why you got the answers you did. And a few times I have stumbled across Photopass still hanging out in the lobby after the tree came down, simply because of the way their schedules had been set, but that it lately. This past year my parents got pics with tree at AKL Tues night, tree came down that evening, and we never saw another photographer in the lobby for the duration of the trip. And it's been probably about 4-5 years since I've seen them just walking around the resort. I'd love to be wrong on this as I purposely seek out Photopass (had 1,100 pre-edit pics from the last trip) but everything I've seen and what the CMs have told me, they don't staff at the resorts to take pictures outside of Christmas time.

I miss the cheap photopass portrait sessions...we did one of those in 2008 at Beach Club and our pictures came out really well...

Thank you all! The little studio at Guest Relations is what I was referring to. Wasn't sure if it was strictly for BBB. With a family of 15 I am worried that it will be hard to get a good picture of everyone in parks, such as on main street with the castle or in front of the tree at AK. I was hoping for another option that would have a Disney background but not in the midst of crowds.

There was a photographer stationed right outside the world of Disney gift shop this August (we were there around 3:30 in the afternoon). She took a bunch of pictures of us, including some magic shots!

Disney Does have Photopass Photographers @ Disney Springs. I have seen them in the marketplace section. I have seen them over on the bridge from T Rex to Rainforest

The studio is shown in the MDE app.

What were the magic shots? We are spending an afternoon/evening at DS and my kids love magic shots.
