We just returned form Disneyland and California Adventure and used Photopass in both parks. Well, checking our pictures online from home....we have 12 pictures of strangers. Therefore we are missing some of our pictures. I don't know how we could have prevented this from happening...... But we are disappointed to say the least.

Someone else must have gotten your missing photos on their cards! Either that, or the photos just didn't scan properly into your card. I must admit - what you just described is one of my biggest fears in using the PP system. I loved it and had good luck overall, BUT I could see how that kind of thing could happen. The photgraphers take the card from you and place it on top of a stack of identical cards. If there are a lot of people milling about, waiting for their cards and pictures, disturbing the photographers, it is possible to mix up the cards if it gets really crazy. They could give you back the wrong card or scan the wrong photos onto your card. Some people suggest marking your card as soon as you get it - even just initial it - so when they hand it back to you, you make sure they gave you YOUR card. But that does not fix the issue of ensuring that all of your pictures end up on your card and not someone else's, and vice versa. I have heard that people go to the places where you can view your photos while at DLR (there is a place in DL and one in DCA), and they see if anything looks like it is missing. Often, DLR can find your lost pictures in the system, if you can describe what they should look like or where they were taken. I am not sure what you do when you get home, though. I don't know if you can still call Guest Services and explain the situation, and see if they can locate your missing pictures or not. Of course, they can't scan them onto your actual card now, but there MAY be a way to place them in an account for you to access. I am not sure, though. I wish you luck with this. Let us know what happens!

Contact PhotoPass and let them know. Give them your PhotoPass #. What probably happened is you got the pictures of the people either right before or right after you. They can find your pictures. This has happened before. Give them specifics of where in order on your pass these pictures appear, which pictures are correct, etc.....

Good luck,
Dreams

We've always been able to get our photos when this happens. The system tags the photographer and timestamps his images, so they can usually find you, if you have someone else's photos.

It's tricky if you don't have any photos at all. Then they need info like date, time, location, and if you have the first name of the photographer, it helps immensely!

We were able to get our missing Santa photos last year from the Grand Californian, 3 days later. We always do a family photo there, as we have one of our wedding photos of us sitting in Santa's chair. For me - it was a minor tragedy when those went missing and I was going to have them back, come hell or high water! Since the PP booth had already packed up for the season, a quick trip over to the DCA counter at Postcards from CA proved highly successful!

They lost one picture (with Darth Vader) on our recent trip too. On our last day I had checked at the PP counter in DCA (based on recommendations from this board-thanks again!) and while we ate lunch at Ariel's the CM searched and searched and was finally able to locate our picture.

If you can remember, try and pin down the day that the missing pictures were taken, and if possible an approximate time. This can help them search their lost photo's to recover yours.

We had a similar issue, but I have done nothing to try to fix it cause I dont think I can. I was involved in a Photo Pass Share on here, and unfortunately didnt use it to my full extent. I think we only took like 4 photos. The ones that were taken when we actually received out card our the ones that are missing. 3 pix of my son battling Captin Hook!! :confused3

Definitely contact Guest Services through the PP website. I had a few issues I needed fixed and they were able to help on most. (Card loaded to wrong account, etc) I too though had a few missing pictures as well as a few of someone else's on my card. Unfortunately for me they weren't able to find our missing ones. The Hook ones had a technical problem (and I even stopped in at Photo Services to see this one, they assured me it would show up-it didn't) I took more Hook pix the next week.

At WDW we had one shot that didn't show up. We were playing air guitars in front of R 'n R. The other ones taken before it showed up though. PP said there was a malfunction and that pix was lost. :confused3

The only other (minor) problem we had was some of the enhanced pix from both WDW and DLR had duplicate images. Meaing my DD was holding 2 Simbas (one on top of the other) and the same thing happened at DCA last month with Stitch and Soarin'. These pix were taken by the same photog. Guest Services said they couldn't remove the images, so I'm hoping I can do it myself with Photoshop.

I hope you find your missing pix!

That sounds familiar.

One of my two pictures with Hook is gone - oddly enough the picture that the same photographer took of me in front of the Mark Twain is there. I am also missing shots from Mickey's Halloween Treat: Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters. Of course this was the only line I did not hit twice.

I too got some of my pix, by the same photog, taken at the same time as the Hook ones. Minnie and Mickey showed up but no Hook. :sad2: Sad about the Lady Tremaine and step ones-it's not like you can get those at anytime.

One thing that I found interesting was that after Guest Services contacted me back about the missing Hook pix and said they were gone, they did say they would tell the PP photog about it, and apparently they did. I saw the same guy just recently (by the castle) and I mentioned what had happened with the Hook ones. He said he had been told about some missing Hook pix and that it's agood idea to check with Photo Services before you leave the park. I did tell him that I had and they assured me (after making a phone call) that Hook pix were on the way. Unfortunately when I got home, they still weren't there. I could have checked one more time before I left DL but since it was after dark it wouldn't have done any good as they don't take Hook at night (not thatI've ever seen, at least)

Luckily, it was a few trips later that I was able to get Hook ones taken again. And this time my DNiece was home for a visit from Grad School (U of U) and both my Dsisses and DM were able to go as well as my DNephew (new CM) and his friend, and of course my DD. :cloud9: When we got to NOS I was very happy to see my favorite PP photog there. He took alot of pictures of all of us-Hook, Mickey, Minnie, and some group shots. He took 39 pix in all! I really like the ones of my DM blowing kisses to Minnie. He caught a great candid shot of my DD showing my DM how to pose with Minnie. So cute! He also took a few pix of my DD and I crossing swords with Mark Twain behind us. :wizard:
