I see where you can get a photopass for $99 if you pre-order. What does that mean? I was part of a photopass group in the past. Can you pre-order if you are in a group?

I am also a disney visa card holder. Is there are 15% discount for that? Anyone know the code or how to do it?

You order the CD before your trip and get a discount

Step 1: Purchase the pre-arrival savings offer and get Disney's PhotoCD for $99.95 - a 33% savings! Or for greater savings, purchase both the PhotoCD and Photo Book for $169.95 ($224.90 value)
Step 2: We'll send you a promotion code via email that you'll use to order your PhotoCD or PhotoCD + Photo Book online after your vacation. (Keep this email in a safe place!)
Step 3: Visit the Parks and get lots of Disney’s PhotoPass photos taken. View tips on how to "fill up" your CD with photos! Note: Get a Disney’s PhotoPass card from any Photographer when you get to the park.
Step 4: After your vacation, go to DisneyPhotoPass.com to order your PhotoCD or PhotoCD + Photo Book by following the directions contained in the email. The full cost of Disney's PhotoCD or PhotoCD + Photo Book will be deducted from your order. Note shipping charges and additional Photo Book pages beyond the standard 20 are not included.

The group orginizer can order it early and save the group some $$.

Not sure about that one!!

Can you print off these Photopass cd pics anywhere, or just from your home computer?

Can you burn off the CD to have an extra one just in case one breaks?

I've never used the photo pass before, can someone tell me what exactly I would get if I pre ordered the cd for $99?????? Do I only own the cd for that price or does it come with a certain amount of pictures?????:confused3

When you preorder, you get a code, then you add the numbers(s) from your photopass card(s) you get. The photographer scans your card when they take the pics. After loading the pics you order the cd with the code. You get a CD with all the pictures you had taken and linked to your photopass card. Plus before ordering you can go in and edit and add embellishments like character siggies to pictures and you'll get those and the originals. You can get as many pics as you want on these for that price. Once you have the cd you can get pics printed anywhere you want, you own them and can do whatever with them.

I think this answers my question, but just to verify, for $99 I get no prints, just the right to print them out where ever and how many I want, correct??

If I just went to Disney and had pictures taken and bought only what I wanted what kind of price would I be talking about? I'm thinking about 6 4x6 and a 5x7 or two.

:goodvibes

I am not the OP but thank you, thank you for all of your answers. One more question if I may. I have seen people say "we had 60 pictures taken but after I edited them I had over 500" so this means they do all the embellishments, etc and that is what is on their CD when they get it, correct? I hope I explained this clearly enough.

I have a question also..can you add pictures you take with your camera to the photopass cd?

Right you get no pictures, just the cd. I am not sure what their picture prices are, I'm thinking like $14 for a 5x7. When we went in 07 we did not get the cd, just the photobook and a 5x7 and at that time it was $14 for the pic... not sure what the smaller pics would cost.

You can get things added to your picture. They have little designs (embellishments) with the year, tinkerbell with fairy dust, writing like Disney Hollywood Studios, character signatures, I don't think there are a lot of choices but some really cute things. Not sure what they may have added to this since we were there last Sept. All of these pictures with the embellishment will be on your cd along with the original picture.

I have a question also..can you add pictures you take with your camera to the photopass cd?

I'm not sure about this one, since my pics go right to my computer anyway I never worried about it. I don't think you can add the embellishments to your own pictures. I'm thinking I tried that and it didn't work, so I found no want to try to put the pics on the cd. I did just check on the photopass website and found this, for $20 you can get a personal photo archive cd, it says upload your own photos and add disney themed graphics and borders to your personal photos. Order today and receive all of your personal uploaded photos on a personal photo archive CD. I don't know what this means for sure, I'm assuming it means that they are not included in the photopass cd, you have to pay another $20 to archive your own pics.

can you preorder and then opt not to use the code to buy it? like do you pay or is it just a promotional code that you later use? im not sure if the photopass is worth it for our two person 5 day trip. do they automatically transfer photos taken on a ride to your photopass card for you to then order or do you still have to buy those seperately? im a first timer too and its so hard to figure out all this technical stuff! im so glad the DIS is around to get help. :)

When you pre-order you pay at that time. They will give you a photocard. The number on that card is important, do not lose it. When you return home, you will go to the Disney photopass site and enter the card number. You have 30 days from the date your first pic was added to go in and add your card number. That card holds all the pics you had taken. Then, Disney will allow you access to the pics that were taken and you have an additional 30 days to edit the pics, add borders, characters, whatever.
