I have heard really good things about this and that it's well worth the 69.99 price fee. Now is this only for disneyland or will it work over at DCA as well?

Thanks

It works at DCA as well. You can pick up your lanyard at the Photo Center in either park.

I don't recommend keeping the card on the lanyard though. They come off easy. Make sure and take a photo of the card when you get it :) I do highly recommend it. I've gotten it three times and LOVE it. Make sure and stop at the end of rides that take your photo to get those put on as well :D

Another one that will say.. Yes to Photo pass plus.. it is so worth it.. if you are anything like me.. you will take hundreds of photos and never be in any of them.. this way assures you that at least some of your trip you will be seen with your family..

As already said,, yes it will work in both parks.. the photographers are very easy to spot.. they wont be walking around per say.. but will be at the most popular spots.. at the front just after the gates.. in the main square with the characters.. and one looking down the main st with the castle in the background... one at the background.. most to all of the characters will have a photographer..
you can add the ride photos to your card.. but make sure you either get the number at the ride as you leave.. and then go back to put it on the card . or get it put on the card as you get off the ride there and then.. other members of your party can split up with a reg photo pass card.. and then later in the trip you can add those photos to your card.. this gives your party the ability to split up.. but they cant add the ride photos to the reg photo pass. only the plus..

when you get home you have the choice of nearly instant download.. it can take a couple of hours depending on how many photos.... or getting a hard copy on CD.. I always get the download , and burn my own CD..

Have a great trip..

We don't go until April 28th, but this was the first thing we purchased after the Disney tickets. It's our first time going and I want to remember everything!

You won't regret it :) Every time you see a photographer, abandon all other plans and get some family shots! We usually have over 200 photos by the end of our tips!

Another thumbs up. We get one every trip and the photos last forever. $70 is a bargain if you use it, especially for character meals and ride photos.

Some additiona thoughts:
-Take your certificate to the camera shop in either park to get your card and activate ASAP. If you can't do this right away the first morning (Early Entry, etc), then just get a regular photopass card from any photographer (and yes, take photos). They can combine any number of those cards on your account (save them just in case) or you can do it online later.
*But don't wait too long to get your card as your ride photos will stack up and those are a little more leg work to add to the card.

-If you do miss a ride photo, you can add it later if you can seriously narrow down the time window (lots of photos taken in just 10 minutes).

-If a kid does Jedi Training, note the performance time and go to the camera shop on Main Street to find your kids' photos. They are perfect close-ups from the two best photo locations. So you can focus on video during the show instead.

-You can ask any photographer for "Magic shots". They have you pose a certain way, then somehow behind the scenes they add effects to the photo.

-When you get home, the download process is goofy. You basically order a CD, enter the code, but then choose download (instead of CD). Also before download, be sure to make black & white copies, add borders, graphics, etc. You can double or triple the number of photo versions. Go for broke, it's free-- but only one chance to download.

We got this for our 30th anniversary. We had some really great photographers as compared to our experience at WDW. A couple of photographers went out of their way to do extra photos, resulting in a great photo book as a keepsake of our trip. It was our best souvenir!

It was a great purchase, and since we bought it a few months ahead of our trip online, it was only $69 as opposed to $99. It definitely works in both parks and we got tons of photos. We did the anna Elsa meet and greet and Olaf meet and greet before I had a chance to pick up the actual lanyard but I got the photocards from the photographer and added them to the photo pass when I registered it. It was super easy and the CMs at the Main Street photo place were very helpful!

We used it last year for the first time. It was worth it, especially if you're doing rides with photos. We'll be ordering another PP+ the next time we go... which is this July! :)

If I didn't order the dang thing in time before we left, can I buy it as soon as we walk in the parks? I want to make sure to get the one that adds the rides, which I think it is the photo pass plus, correct? I'm not sure if that one is only available if you buy ahead of time online. I hope that makes sense.

You can purchase PP+ in the parks. It's $99.95 and can be purchased at the Photo Centers in the parks. I know you can also purchase it at the character meals (if you're doing one of those before going into the parks).

Phew. Thank you. I thought I really screwed this up. I love the memories of my kids and family. It's worth the price to me.

Oh, one more question. I wonder if I would still be able to get my AP discount with it. Anyone know that answer?

Hi all.
I'm a bit confused by the wording re must be purchased at least 14 days prior to arrival.
We are coming from Australia in late June, am I able to purchase it online now, and where abouts is collection when we arrive. Staying at PPH.
Cheers
Adam

We loved having photopass+! I was a little worried that I may not be happy with the quality of the photos (I am picky, as I am a photographer), but it really gave us the freedom to enjoy the trip without me worrying about carrying the camera around the whole time.

Yes, if you preorder it online it has to be 14 days ahead of time, it will be the 69.00. I forgot so I was hoping to be able to buy one when we get there for 99.95, but just wanted to be sure it included the ride pics like the one we have ordered online in the past. So I miss out on the savings, but that is my own fault. :-)

Hi Adam, we are also traveling from Australia. Our trip isn't until later in the year but I ordered already since it will not expire for a year. Perhaps order it soon that way you will receive it in time with no stress.

Order online via DL Photo Pass site: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/specialoffers/dlrppp.htm#

Just quick question for the experts. When you pre-order for $69.00 and after the trip do you have to pay again for the CD? Or is the CD free?
