No, they can't be saved as a JPEG.

Yes, you can control print screen and save to a Word Document.

I'm interested too if anyone has any other ideas

don't know if this will work but this is what i do.
i'll save pictures from a website by right -click save-as the i open the file i saved it to right click on the picture and open as a paint program once in paint i will make a minor (ie not noticable change) and then save-as but before hiting ok, in the save as dialog box change the format to jpeg

normally I do right click and save like that but Disney has it so that you cannot right click on their photopass pages at all so you cannot just save like that you gotta find a way around it like print screen

If you can't right click you can choose to view source and get the link to the picture. If you are unethical that is. Of course, capturing the screen is no less ethical. lol.
