Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'll ask anyway.

:confused3

Using the Photo pass has been great for us, we love the fact that we get pictures with everybody in them, but we always spend way too much money when we get home ordering pictures. I remember reading somewhere here on the DIS that there is a CD. Is it pictures that you took, or just the "post card" type pics of WDW that are on the photopass website? How much does this cost and when can you purchase it.

thanks for your help in advance.

:thanks:

CD is all the pictures that are on you Photopass. You have the rights to take them and have them reproduced at the store of your choice with the cd. I want to say it was like $100 for the disc, so the more pics you get taken the better the deal.

I purchased the Disney Photomovie. For $50.00 I got a DVD with animation and Disney scenes which I superimposed my pictures. I was able to select from my own pictures and photopass pictures. 68 pictures in total can you include.

Do you purchase this at the parks or on the photopass site??

You purchase it at the parks. I guess they did add something where you can buy it once you get home but it isn't through the photopass site, its through somewhere else.

If you buy it at home you can't add the signatures or borders to your pictures but if you but it at the park you can.

Just got back from WDW and had planned on obtaining this CD in the parks. We had over 50 pictures taken using PhotoPass. On the last night there we were at MGM and were told that the parks that offered this service were at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. We had just gotten out of Fantasmic so were unable to make it to one of the other parks. I contacted them via email when I got back home and asked about the service. They sent me an email address and I ordered it immediately. It costs 99.95 plus tax and shipping ($6.95). I ordered it on Friday and it's already been shipped. I was still able to view them on the website however as the previous poster mentioned, I was not able to add signatures etc to the pictures. None the less, it was still a value for 50+ pictures!

Do you have the email address still?

Thanks

I bought mine at Epcot, but I didn't get the option to add borders or anything! Wish I had!

I just bought mine yesterday. I got it at the Camera Center at Epcot (right next to Spaceship Earth). We spent the day at AK and I just hopped over for the sole purpose of doing the Photopass CD. If I didn't have a hopper ticket I would have done it at the Grand Floridian. I had about 170 pictures, and I added borders, overlays and/or signatures to all of them, so I ended up with nearly 350 pictures on my disc. At 7:00 last night, there was no one else at the Camera Center burning a CD, so I had the undivided attention of a cast member there with no wait.

We got ours at the MK the night before we left. There was a line, but we were not rushed. We added borders and autographs. We had taken about 85 pictures and ended up with 105 total after adding things. It is in Toontown in the Judges tent. If the line is not long it should not take you very long to get it. I have had copies made at Wal-Mart a couple of times and they do ask for the copyright release. The pictures are beautiful and were worth every penny to have pictures of our whole family.

so are you saying with the cd.. you can add signatures etc.. and still have the orginal one left also... am I understanding this?? Where all can we get pics made?

It has all the original pics -the way they take them and all the pics w/ enhancements . so it retains them both ways

Is there a maximum that can be burned onto a CD disc, and would this disc work in the UK?

Sounds a lot better than what we normally pay, $12.95, and tend to buy 10 or more.

The photopass website talks about adding character signatures and borders when you log in and retrieve your pix through the site, so it looks like you can do all of that after you get home.

I had another question.... DD and I took a quick trip last month and will be taking another next month. You're supposed to log in to get your pix within 30 days of your trip and then they are available for 30 days. If I log in for the first pix late in the 30 days, they should still ba available after the second trip. Can I combine the pix from the 2 photopasses onto one CD?

I believe the maximum number of pictures they can put on a CD is 400 or thereabouts. If you have more pictures than that, you'd need to buy a second CD.

I would also be interested in knowing if cards can be combined. On our last trip 2 of us ended up with 3 cards. We would either forget to hand over the card or the photographer would be too fast and give us a new one automatically.

thanks,
