Photo Package across rooms?

We are a family of 12 crossing 3 generations & will be traveling across 4 different rooms. We’ll be doing all sorts of picture combinations across the sub-families & together. Do we have to buy 4 picture packages?

Each room must purchase their own photo package. Only exception is if there is a nuclear family in 2 rooms (dad & minor kids in one, Mom & minor kids in the other). Then DCL will allow them to purchase only one package.

Or, if mom & dad and 1 or 2 kids in one room, and minor children of same mom & dad are in different rooms, the minor kids in the other rooms can be included in mom & dad's package. But no one else in those other rooms would be included.

If you want to ensure that you photos of everyone, your best (cheapest) option is to pre-purchase the full digital package for 2 rooms. And, once onboard, each full purchase package can also purchase a 2d room at 50% off.

If you only purchase one package, any photos taken with someone from the room that purchased the package will be included, regardless of who else is in the photo.

We ended up no purchasing the packages but my wife and I had asked at Shutters on an earlier cruise and I though we could have pre-purchased one package and then gotten the 50% off the 4 other linked rooms.

I'm not really sure about that. The wording makes it sound like for each full price (including the discounted pre-cruise price) package, you can purchase an additional package at 50% off.
For larger families traveling together across multiple staterooms, we offer a discount on unlimited Digital Photo discs/USBs: Purchase the unlimited package for one stateroom, and the second unlimited disc/USB is 50% off the onboard price.

But then goes on to say:
For pre-cruise purchases on OurCruisePhotos.com, you may purchase the first disc/USB online and additional disc/USBs can be purchased on board for 50% off the onboard price

That's something that may vary, depending on the Shutter person you actually deal with.

Ok. We’ll probably play safe and do 3 as the single room guy will likely be in photos with at least one of rest of us. Thank you for the quick replies!

We just got off Panama Canal cruise, and the shutters people on that cruise said it was only one state room per package. I guess you could try for all parties give them the one stateroom of the person who has the package and see what happens u to they catch on

On my last cruise 2 of my kids were booked in other rooms ( 1 with my brother and one with great grandma) I bought the photo package and when I got home I found I had also gotten all of my brothers and GG's photos, including the ones that my children were not in. YMMV

Honestly, after the cruise in October, I don't think I would recommend the photo package to anyone. So many people that were on our cruise have received photos of other families and not their own, blank drives, etc.

Disney really needs to get rid of the third party company and do it themselves so they have control over the quality.
