Just a reminder for those of you planning on buying the DLR PP CD. Read about the Gallery CD for sale in the Photopass store about a month ago but actually forgot all about it until we went for a few hours yesterday. One of my fav. PP photogs mentioned it to me.

The CD costs $59.95 and included inside is a code for a free DLR PP CD ($59.95 value). I will be ordering my DLR CD shortly (inc. pix from our recent WDW trip as well) so it's like getting the Gallery CD for free (has 300 professional photos on it). Plus I was able to get 10% off with my AP.

I haven't looked at all the photos but there are some very nice ones. Especially ones taken at night, when the parks are empty, and fireworks shots. (Yes these were mostly taken in last year-so no World of Color, sorry)

So, if you are getting the DLR PP CD anyway, buy the Gallery CD as well. It's like getting all those photos for free! (and yes, you do get a copyright release with this CD)

Happy photopass taking!

(Oh, BTW we were able to get some Hook photos yesterday. If you don't see the photographer with the sword by the ROA, ask for the shot at the PP store. They may be able to set it up for you!)

Thanks for the reminder :thumbsup2. I am def making a note of this so I won't forget....and trust me I would! :lmao:

I have a question about this......we've never done the Photopass CD in Disneyland before....but we've done them several times in WDW.

For WDW you get a discount for PREpurchasing it. Is there such a thing for Disneyland, or is the best deal to buy this Gallery CD with the coupon for the Photopass CD?

I know in WDW they have changed things so that you no longer can get the PREpurchase discount AFTER your visit (which of course defeats the PREpurchase portion, but it was one of those loopholes that was there for years and now people are being bit by it, lol). I have looked a few times for a PREpurchase for DIsneyland and not found one.

Have you done this before? I didn't think you could combine WDW PhotoPass with DL PhotoPass? :confused3

I thought I read that you can, but that if you have any WDW photos on there, you had to pay the MUCH heftier WDW PhotoPass price?

To answer your questions..

There is no pre-buy discount for the DLR PP CD. It's only $59.95. Only buy it online, do not buy in the park as you won't get the edit/enhancements. Online you can add borders, autographs, etc.

Have you done this before? I didn't think you could combine WDW PhotoPass with DL PhotoPass?

I have done this for 3-4 years now. You can definitely have both WDW and DLR on the same CD order. I had over 2000 on one order a few years back.

The price you pay will be determined by the park you had pictures taken in last. So if you are going to WDW and then to DLR, you will pay the DLR price. I have an AP to DLR so it's no problem going to DLR after we get back from WDW.

Now that being said these are the rules as of today. Disney could change them at any time but I have done the WDW/DLR combination over 4 years now. I did send an email to PP earlier this year just to make sure on the pricing. The answer I got was a little confusing as they said the price was based on the last picture uploaded date. But I found out they still meant the last park visited. Pictures in your PP account will be listed in date taken order. This was a change they made several years back. This means you have to have DLR pictures taken after your WDW ones.

Since I was at WDW from 9/27 to 10/4 and didn't start uploading my pictures until 9/30, I have until 10/30 to order the CD. I went to DLR yesterday and have already added them to my account. My price for the CD is showing as $59.95.

3 or 4 years ago I pre-bought my WDW CD just in case for $99.95. Once I ordered the CD for the DLR price I then asked for, and received, a refund on my advance purchase. Now I just trust that they won't change it.

Thanks, this is awesome! I have a pass too so this will be easy... two WDW trips and a day at DL for $60 is a great deal compared to all other offers I think :thumbsup2

Okay sorry another question! For as many times as I've been to DL I've never ordered Photo Pass (besides an odd picture or two)...

Is this the gallery CD you're talking about? It's the only one I can find but is only $39.95. Am I missing something?

If it is the right one, how does the code work? You buy the gallery CD and the codes comes via email? Or in the CD they send you?

Sorry for all the questions I'm just so confused

This is my question as well..I'm a little confused too. And there is a discount? AP? DVC? how is that applied? This is all done after you get back, right? Or do you need to order the gallery thing before. And...what exactly is the Gallery thing? Is it professional shots of DLR?:confused3

Does it say you get a discount code for the pp cd, when you purchase the gallery cd? The gallery cd is 39.95 on the website. Also, does the discount code for the pp cd have an expiration date?

It is the "Disneyland Photo Gallery CD Disney's Photopass PhotoCD Value Pack" (Whew, that's a long name!)

It looks like it could be the same one you get online for $39.95 but since the online one doesn't mention how many photos are in it I'm not sure. If so, then yes it is $20 more to buy it at DLR vs. online but you get the coupon for your free CD in the DLR one. No mention of it with the online version.

Here's the description from the front of the CD case
"This Package Includes Disney's Photo Gallery CD Includes over 300 high resolution digital photos from around Disneyland Resort. Perfect for printing, scrapbooking, and viewing on your computer!

Voucher for Disney's Photo CD*
Order online at get ALL your Disney's Photopass photos taken within the last 30 days. Includes copyright release so you can use them in the size and formats you wish!

*IMPORTANT! Disney's Photopass CD must be ordered online using the enclosed voucher. Online registration at DisneyPhotoPass.com required."

Inside the case is your Gallery CD, Sales Agreement and Copyright Release, and your voucher for your $59.95 discount.

Here is what the voucher has on it:

DISNEY'S PHOTOCD ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these steps to order your Disney's PhotoCD
1. Visit DisneyPhotoPass.com and register or sign in within 30 days for having your first photo taken to claim your photos.
2. Place a Disney's PhotoCD in your cart. Be sure to make any desired edits to your photos before ordering!
3. Enter the code below in the Promotion Code Field on the shopping cart page to remove the cost of one (1) Disney's PhotoCD from your order.
4. Complete the checkout process by following the online instructions.

Then it gives you your 16 number promotion code.

Details-Standard domestic shipping for Disney's PhotoCD is included in your purchase price.Express Shipping or International shipping are not included. If you purchase other products along with your Disney's PhotoCD applicable charges and shipping rates will be applied to your order. Only one Promotion Code cna be entered per order and the offer cannot be combined with any offer. Photos subject to DisneyPhotoPass.com photo expiration policy and will expire 30 days from when they are claimed. Promotion Code has no cash value and does not apply to previously placed orders or to purchase inside a Theme Park. Not responsible for lost Promotion Codes. Subject to restriction and change without notice.

The CD has 12 resort photos (hotels); 7 from the photopass website; 32 holidays; 19 fireworks; 46 DCA; and 222 from Dland. Total 326 photos plus the copyright release. Note that the holiday ones were taken last year, 2009.

So you have to buy the Gallery CD in one of the DLR parks for $59.95. That CD will include the code for your free PhotoCD. The one online does not have the code. Then after you have completed all your edits, put your CD in the cart. Type in the promotion code that comes inside your Gallery CD and the cost of your PhotoCD will be $0

If you have an AP you will receive a 10% discount off the Gallery CD in the park. My Gallery CD cost a little less than $58 after 10% discount and tax.

So I went ahead and gave it a test. I put my PhotoCD in my cart. It showed $59.95 for the CD and $2.95 for shipping. When I entered my promo code it credited me back $59.95 and $2.95(free shipping). My balance now shows $0. So it's an even better deal since I got my AP discount and the shipping is now included. What would have cost me $62.90 only cost me $58. A savings of about $5 plus I got the Disneyland CD as well.

There is no mention of an expiration date on the free PhotoCD voucher.

OH! So you buy the gallery CD in the park, using your dscount, and it has the coupon for the free Photopass CD...Got it.and will be doing this if they still have it in January. Is this at the Kodak shop place?

I reaaaaally wish I bought one during my recent Disneyland trip!! Now I'm stuck buying my photos online and I don't get the bonus of having the stock Disney photos. The one redeeming thing is that I'm able to edit my photos and put the cute Disney borders on them! :)

So I highly suggest buying the CD at the park before going home!

This is in the Photopass Store on Main Street. Not sure if you can buy it in DCA but I think you should be able to

So when you come home and upload your Photopass pictures online do you get to do the editing and add the cute little logos and such to them? Or is it different if you bought the Gallery CD?

I ask because in WDW if you buy the PHotopass CD AT THE PARK you don't get the editing and adding logos.

THose edits are a big part of the reason to do Photopass CD in my opinion.

So sorry! Wish I could help. We are going to DL for a short visit this a.m. and I could pick one up for you but there's not enough time to arrange it. We may be going to one of the Halloween parties though, so maybe... PM me if you really want one.

You are buying the DLR Stock CD at the park and then you will be buying your PhotoCD online so you will get all the edits, just like normal. The only difference is you will have a promotional code that makes your PhotoCD and shipping, free!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this great tip. I bought my Gallery CD last night w/my AP discount. We are here now and will be back next month to see the Christmas stuff and I plan on combining my PP cards and using this coupon. Plus, I am a scrapbooker and love the idea of having some great shots that I can include in my book!

The boards are awesome!!! Until these boards I had no idea that you could add boards and such, I didn't want to pay $60 for 10 or 15 pictures that I could take with my own camera. Now for $60 I can get over300 Disney photos and turn my 15 or so PP pictures into 50 or so, defentalty a value especially for Disney
