What would be a good, medium priced photo-editing software program I could use for my digital pictures? I have been trying to use paint shop and it just doesn't cut it! Snapfish has a great editing program on their web site but you have to order the pictures from them. I can't seem to save them to my picture files.

I use REAconverter pro for everything w/ my digital pics, and I got it free!!!:D

Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album 4

I haven't used this personally but it has gotten some good reviews at amazon.com

It's for enhancing and organizing your digital photos. So you can crop, resize, adjust color, add borders, frames, all that PLUS organize and share with friends and family.

there is a 30 day free trial for the software so you can try it out and then if you like it it's very reasonably priced. Amazon has it for $21 after special offers.

download the 30 day trial of Pait Shop Photo Album 4 here:

http://www.jasc.com/products/photoalbum/

worth a try anyway! I think I will try it too! :wave2:

I like Paint Shop Pro 7 or 8 for the effects and filters. If you want a basic free editing program for cropping, resizing, compressing, etc...try irfanview

Adobe Photoshop works really well. We use it for our yearbook- cropping pictures, resizing them, changing them from color to black and white and other neat effects. I'm not sure about a price though

Adobe Photoshop Elements should be sufficient for whatever you need to do - and it costs less than the full Photoshop. Though, honestly, I don't know the price - mine came bundled with both my scanner and my digital SLR.

Adobe PhotoShop elements. Approx $65

Adobe PhotoShop 7.0 Approx. $500+

I personally use both of these, and they are great. Just pricey!
I also use Microsoft Photodraw.

I'm surprised your digital camera didn't come with some editing software.

Adobe Photoshop Album is the best program out for digital photo editing, and it's just $45 bux at walmart.

I use all of the Adobe titles and they are unbeatable.

Arc software came as a bundle and I really like it. Easy to use.

My DH uses Photoshop and is always singing its praises. He uses a Mac - I don't know if Photoshop is available for a PC? Of course, if you already use a Mac that's not a problem!

Of course it is available for the PC lol

Actually it was developed for the pc to combat the mac's awesome graphic power.

i use adobe photo shop. what came on my computer ( i think)and what i've always used.

I use MS Picture it! Photo 2002 for most of the web stuff I do, but I use Photoshop at home.

:bounce:

My oldest DD uses Adobe Photoshop at school (art school) and uses Photoshop Elements 2.0 at home. We got it at Sam's club for $79 with a $30 rebate. Even for my DD, it does enough that she is not needing to spring $700 for the whole program. I like it because it's pretty easy to use but you can still do some amazing things.
I think it was out for Macs before PCs. Still, for artists, Mac computers and Epson printers rule.

If you have pictures developed on a CD at Walmart, it will include
MS Picture It Express. Will do the most basic items. Had good luck with it.
