We will be in the parks during the day & then have Blue Man tickets for the 2nd show. For something fun, I've bought blue shirts for our family & blue hair gel. I preordered Photo Connect and would love to get some fun family shots. Will there be photographers in Citiwalk or near Blue Man? Will be have to go into a park for pictures?

Only 50 more days... :)

I have no idea of your question but would also love to hear about the photographers' locations as I have read that they are few and far between. Makes me wonder if the photopass card is a good idea or not....doesn't seem worth it if you can't find a photographer.

Maybe someone with a bit more experience can let us know :cheer2:

The photographers are always at the entrance to the two parks, so you can get several photos there. We also had photographers take our photos on the bridge which takes you to the Hulk ride, with the coaster in the background, in the street in front of the Spiderman ride (he asked us which way we wanted to face, and I chose to have Wolverine in the background), and also on the bridge b/t Jurrassic Park area and the Harry Potter area (although I didn't realize until we got home that those photos never made it into my account - I'm still upset about that - so CHECK each day!). We didn't encounter any photographers roaming around Universal Studios taking photos, BUT there were many planned photo ops with characters - the Spongebob shop has regular times when the characters come out and they do photos, we got photos with each of the Transformers characters, and we got photos with the Simpsons. You can also get really cute photos done at the exit to the ET ride. And in IoA, the Spiderman gift shop does photo ops with Spiderman throughout the day.

Add to this all the ride photos, and it really IS worth it. I'm so glad we chose to get the package. The only regret I have is pre-ordering, because I bought an AP and we're going back again, and I could have had more photos taken for free - but I only bought the one-trip package, and I don't think there's any way to change that. Oh well!

I am a "budget" trip planner, and I look for ways to cut corners wherever possible - I can tell you I would have seriously regretted not purchasing the photo package.

Thanks so much for the reply!! Your info was perfect....just what we needed. I also have an AP however I know for sure we won't be back as we are on the other side of the world lol I just ordered the 3 day photo pass.

I can't wait to be there and Rowan555 I've boticed from other posts of yours that you are arriving as we leave. We move to Disney on Mother's day.

Bring on May :cool1::banana::yay:

Thanks again for the info and your tips!

You might want to read up on how this works. It's a bit more complex when compared to Disney's Photopass system. It definitely requires a little work on your part.

Universal Orlando Photo Connect & ride photos - complete guide

I didn't find it too much of a hassle. For the regular photo ops, you hand them your photo connect card and they take a photo of it and hand it back to you - that's how they connect your photos to your account. For the ride photos, you do have to go to the counter at the ride exit and ask them to add your photo to your account. They take your card, pull up the photo, add the background, and you're done. We waited maybe 5 minutes tops to do this - usually there was no wait at all.

The only problem we had was that our photos taken in the Harry Potter area didn't end up on our account. I didn't realize this until we'd gone home - so make sure you check your account on your phone, or go to the photo connect store at the entrance to US and have them pull up all of your photos just to be sure nothing is missing.

Another question... Are there photographers at the resort entrances or just the main entrance?

Thanks for the help! I'm struggling since I have no sense of perspective on this being a "walk to everything" layout...

This is what I was talking about as far as ease of use. During the hustle and bustle you can easily forget to stop by and check that your photos are there.

The "walk everywhere" layout is great (more like DL and DLP). You will only find photogs in the park. Hopefully you read the info that I suggested, if you do, you won't miss out on photo ops. Again, you might have to look for them, as they are nowhere near as numerous as those at Disney parks.

No photographers at the resorts, but there are always friendly employees who will offer to take a photo of the family for you if you have your camera handy!

Apologies --- I asked a question that was already answered in the thread ..... had a serious brain cramp! :headache: ... so I removed my question.

I didn't know how to delete the entry.

Thanks,
Zebsterama
