Could someone please describe to me exactly where this is located and the hours? I wanted to get my Star Card before EE, and didn't know if I should/could pick it up the night before or the morning of EE...I want to get to Gringott's without having to stop off at the one inside the park first. TIA!

I'm not sure of the hours. But there is a photo pass table in the hub area where the 2 parking garages converge. Unless you're getting the Annual Pass Star Card I wouldn't pick it up the night before. The Star Cards work on calendar days not 24 hour periods.

What I would do is head over to Gringott's, and ride it. When you get off the ride you can get a "temporary" Star Card there. Then, some time later in the day at your convenience, you can stop at one of the photo connect areas and combine all the individual star cards from the day onto the "permanent" account.

I did this last January. My first day in the park was the last day of the Christmas Blackout period and the last day of Grinchmas. I went over to IOA to catch the How the Grinch Stole Christmas show and get my picture with the Grinch dressed in his Santa Suit. After the picture, I took the card they gave me. I then park hopped over to USF on my regular ticket, converted the ticket to a power pass, then went over to the photo connect store in USF to activate my account. Being a blackout day for the power pass, I couldn't get my pass in IOA and then hop over to USF (They wouldn't let me in because of the blackout). But, since I was already in USF when I upgraded I could stay in the park for the rest of the day (I just couldn't leave and reenter). After getting my Annual Pass star card, I stayed the rest of the evening in USF and watch the Macy's parade and saw the Blues Brother's Christmas show.

That's the best thing to do. But you don't need to keep collecting cards. You can just show your first card you get to all the same photo areas.
