Photo Connect Card?

I think I have this Photo Connect thing figured out. I read the article on that other information website by googling "Photoconnect Star Card Guide Orlando Informer"

Our trip is 10/20. Buying one AP (the cheap one) to get the best room rate at CBR. Buying the other 6 passes through care.com, which we have access to through DH's employer. Best deal on tickets and gets us 4 days park-to-park, including water park.

Looking at the Photo Connect site, they offer a 3-day package and an AP package. I'll buy the AP package as it's the same as 3-day and will give us all of our park days if we opt to not go to the water park.

If I understand correctly, this will get me digital access to all of our ride photos and a few others throughout the parks. Images will be good up to 5x7 and I can print from home.

But we have to claim our photos inside the park and do any embellishments before we leave each day. There are a couple of freebies by ordering online and we should try to get those prints at HP attractions.

MOST IMPORTANT!!!!!! Price changes on 10/6. 3 day goes from $49.95 to $59.95 and AP goes from $49.95 to $89.95 These are the online prices.

Will purchase with AMEX to get the complimentary 5x7 or 8x10

I also looked at the Photo Connect FB page, which is where I learned of the impending price increase.

Anyone find fault in my logic?

What are the freebies that come with the Star Card AP? I just ordered mine online yesterday, but didn't notice that the AP came with any extras.

I noticed this on the Photo Connect page:

"Unlimited Digital Downloads for a year. Requires a Universal Florida annual pass, will be converted to a 3 day package if you do not have annual pass."

I don't have an active Annual Pass yet. I'm planning on buying one but it won't be activated until our first park day, November 30.

So ... does it seem like I will be out of luck as far as getting the current, and lower, price?

I've had the ap photo connect for two plus years. It seems to change all the time as far as what you get. The first I got a 5x7 for one ride and 4x6's on ever other ride we did. Then it went to 1 5x7 and 1 4x6. Always all the digital downloads you want. The price went from $39 to $49 and now it looks like $89. That being said, I have never shown my ap to get the ap package. The first time I bought it was in the park and I didn't have to show it. I've never shown it in the hotels either. Must be in their system is all Ivan figure.

I haven't bought my APs yet either (our trip is not until May), but I was able to buy the photoconnect AP online this week with no problem. It does not ask for your AP at the time of purchase. I would guess you would have to show your AP with your purchase confirmation (you get a barcoded receipt emailed to you after payment for the photoconnect AP is complete) at the park, or else then you would get the 3 day package versus the annual pass.

We never had to show proof of AP when we picked up our photoconnect.

The preorder link for the PhotoConnect AP states:

It certainly sounds like they may (or can) ask for you to provide proof of an active Universal AP.

They can ask but I agree with Damo. I have never been asked. Same thing at the onsite resorts. Never asked for my AP.

I have no doubt that you weren't asked to show your AP. Considering that it is specifically noted on the pre-order website, though, it was worth mentioning. At least then if someone IS asked, it won't be surprising.
