Photo Christmas Cards

We just got off and ordered our cards on board. They were 59.95 for the 100. Let me give you a hint. Shutters offers a night where they have a plain white background. While it looks boring and drab, they turn out beautifully. It is a must do picture taking station. I thought it might make a plain card but Christina at Shutters talked me into the white background. I am so glad she did.

Sandy-

Do you have the capability to post a pic on here as to what the white background looks like?

It does sound a bit plain, but I believe you if you say they turned out awesome.

:D

Do you pick up the cards while you are on the ship or do they mail them to you? If they mail them, how long does it take for them to get to you???

Does anyone know if one can order the Christmas cards AFTER getting off the ship? Like maybe from a May cruise. I wanted to do it on the ship, but I thought they could be ordered at anytime, but I can not find anything. The company that Shutters is owned under won't e-mail me back. Maybe someone on the DisBoards could help. Thanks!!!

You can order after getting off the ship but only if your cruise date was less than 6 weeks ago........negatives are destroyed after that.

You get them while you're still on the ship. We ordered ours around 5 pm and had them around 10 pm the same night.

:bounce: BUMP :bounce:
Because I would LOVE to see one of the Christmas cards done by Shutter's if someone can post one!

Mickeyfanmom, I am not an expert on the computer but maybe my dd can do it for me. If anything, pm me with your email address and we could do it that way. Sorry! Can anyone give me instructions on how to post a picture? The instructions have to be in plain and simple English because I am such a computer DUMMY!

I am JiminyC_fan DD. The pictures turned out awesome. I am so impressed with the white background, a must do. I think they only do it on Pirate night (aka tropical night).

I am not sure how to post a picture on the DIS but I can scan it and email it. Any instructions on how to post a picture would be great so everyone could see how the card turned out.

GRUMPY'S MOM~

Thanks for that link!! I love the Shutters picture but I completely forgot about it and probably mentally blocked out another $60 (since we got the biggest picture packacge). But that will be great because at Costco they are 30 cents each which is a savings of half. But maybe they are not so cute..... oh now I am a little bummed. But it is too late, so I guess I am stuck!!

WAIT~ I just scrolled back through the postings someone said you CAN order them after you get off?? That is great!!! Who do you call??

JiminyCFan (and DD) while I was the one that asked you to post one if you could, I am soooooo computer illiterate that it's not even funny!

I have seen so many others posting cool pics on Webshots and other places but have no idea how to do it. I think that they must have scanners to be able to get the pic taken at Shutters onto the screen, but after that I have no clue.

So I will take your word for how great they turned out and will order some on my cruise too.

Thanks so much for replying back!

Mickeyfanmom - I can email the picture to you if you pm my mom with your email address.

I was hoping I could find a techie to help post a pic on this thread to explain to me in English how to do it so I can share it with everyone, maybe I will cruise over to the Technical Board.

If you post from CC, how long would it take to arrive? This would be a cool thing for my friends in Washington DC. What are the last posting dates for Xmas in the US (I'm from UK so have no idea)?

HI!

If you can e-mail me copy of picture, I would appreciate it. We are on the 11/21 cruise and I am debating on whether to do this, but would sure love to see a sample.

Disney5@msn.com

Thanks!

Maureen

I believe the last posting date for priority mail is December 17th, but I could be wrong.
Does anyone know how much it cost to post from CC?
I'm definitely going to budget in for christmas cards and postage - do you think I'll have enough time to save....
