I just went to mycruisephotos.com to see if my cruise date was listed yet to see what they would charge for the cd copy of all photos. It wasn't listed yet but I saw this link about families traveling in multiple staterooms and decided to click it to see what it says. I'll copy and paste it below but I noticed that it said that it was modified April 2, 2014 at 10:19am so it seems that maybe questions about multiple staterooms have recently been changed. Here is what it said...

The following are benefits of your photo package (digital or print):

· When purchasing any size digital photo package, you will take home all the photos seen on your kiosk account and can choose which photos to keep from home.

· Photos of your children aged 21 and under, who may be traveling in a separate stateroom are included.

· Artistic borders and templates as seen on all printed photos are included.

· Digital photos are in a size and resolution that allow for printing up to 8x10.

· “Unlimited” photos means all the photos in your photo kiosk account and/or all the photo prints that YOU collect while adhering to these terms.

The following is not included with your photo package (digital or print):

· Photos of others in your party not staying in your stateroom.

· Group photos, weddings, Quinces and other special occasion photography services.

· Generic stock photos of the ship, characters, ports of call, etc.

· Any special printing or retouching requests.

For larger families traveling together across multiple staterooms, we offer a discount on Get the Picture! unlimited discs: Purchase Get the Picture! unlimited for one stateroom, and the second Get the Picture! unlimited disc is 50% off the onboard price.
For pre-cruise purchases on MyCruisePhotos.com, you may purchase the first disc online and additional discs can be purchased on board for 50% off the onboard price*.

The passenger manifest will be reviewed for all purchases, the Booking ID must match the purchasing cabins

*This offer is only available on ships that offer Get the Picture! unlimited photo packages.

The thing that caught my eye was if you're traveling in multiple staterooms, it appears that you may need to purchase a second disk of the second room at a 50% discount for those people staying in that room to be included on your photo cd. Don't know if this is how it was before but I don't remember reading anywhere about anyone saying this was the case.

This has been the case for a while. Maybe it wasn't documented. I'm not sure, but I read this before our March 13 cruise on that same site. That only applies though if the 2nd room are not your immediate family (spouse, children) and/or those children are 21 and over. If you have younger children staying in two rooms, it will be on the 1 cd.

I think it's the discount for the 2nd stateroom that is new (or relatively new). Shutters has always restricted photo CDs to just the people in your immediate cabin, or minor children booked into another cabin. Grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, adult children, etc. will need to purchase the 2nd CD as their photos will not be on your stateroom's CD. That part isn't new.

Enjoy your cruise!

So, if my family of 5 are cruising in 2 adjoining rooms (rm 1 (Me, DS,Ds) Rm 2 (DW,DD)), do we have to buy 2 disks (2nd at 1/2 price), or can we get 1 disk with all pictures on it???

As long as your daughter is under 21, you should only have to buy 1 disk.

Jake: You get it all on one CD.

Now let's expand that:

Add in a 3rd cabin with the Grandparents. Now you need 2 CDs.

I read their statement and agree with you that if your DD is under 21, she will be included on CD 1 but where I think it's vague is when you have other members in the second room whether it's immediate family like parents, brothers and sisters, or even grandparents. The reason why I say this is because in the body of the message I copied above, it says...

The following is not included with your photo package (digital or print):

· Photos of others in your party not staying in your stateroom.

This is vague and doesn't qualify the other scenarios of immediate family (husband or wife), brothers and sisters (to husband and wife), and grandparents (parents to adults).

We did this on our Jan cruise. They started it last year sometime.

Can you breakdown how your room set up was and what you had to do to get a photo cd of everybody?

We have 2 rooms, basically a boys room and a girls room.

Room 1 is Me, Ds, Ds, and my dad.
Room 2 is Wife, Dd, my mom, and mother in law.

My interpretation is that a person, their spouse, and their children under 21 are included. That is all. Anyone else requires a second cd if they are pictured without those mentioned above.

I think that you, your wife, and your children are good. If there are any pictures of yours and your wifes parents without you, your wife, or children, they may not be included and if you want them, would require the 2nd cd.

Basically, whatever room purchases the CD, all people in that room, as well as any minor children of those people in that room (that are actually in the second room) will be included.

So, if room 1 buys the CD - included would be You, Ds, Ds, your dad, your wife, Dd. Not included would be your mom & your mother in law.

However, any photos taken with at least one person in them that is included will put that photo on the CD. So, as long as your mom & mother in law are in pictures with at least one of the others that photo will be included, also. Any photos of JUST your mom & mother in law will not.

If room 2 buys the CD - included would be your wife, Dd, your mom, your mother in law, you, Ds, Ds. Not included would be your dad.

Again, any photos with at least one person that's included that are taken will be on the CD, regardless of whoever else in the photo. So the only photos that would not be included in this case would be ones where your dad is alone in the photo.

That is what I thought it to be from all of the other threads that I've read about this subject. I only bring this up because it says that the terms were just updated today and as I previously quoted in the post above, it seems vague about who it includes in multiple rooms except where it provides detail about a child under 21.

Just wondering if anybody has been on a recent cruise using multiple room can chime in and help?

Magic Jan 6-10 2014

Room 1: me, DH, DD, DS
Room 2: friend 1, friend 2

Staterooms were linked. We paid full price for Room 1's CD, and half price for Room 2's CD. Prints were full price for each room. The CDs had ALL the pictures for both rooms on them.

My understanding is that for this to work is that the staterooms do need to be linked...

Just my guess, but I think the clarification of "children aged 21 and under, who may be traveling in a separate stateroom are included" might have come about due the some adult children, traveling with parents, would have the parents room buy the CD and then have them included as their "children booked in a different room". There was no specification as to the "children" needing to be minor children.

I am betting this is true. That wasn't the update today though because I read that before our mid March cruise. Not sure what the change today was as I didn't print it out right before our March cruise.

We are doing 2 short B2B cruises next May (2 night and 3 night out of San Diego). Are there any recommendations regarding the CD? Do the charges become less expensive due to less cruise days? Any suggestions are appreciated?

The length of cruise CD cost varies with length of cruise. The prices I've seen are:
7 night $349.95; 5 night $249.95; 4 and 3 night $229.95. For an additional $50.00 you can get all the photos on the CD printed. Special CD prices – 14 night $399.95/$75.00 for prints, plus 100 CDs max for cruise.

I don't have a cost for a 2 night cruise (I'm figuring the CD was available for that cruise also), maybe someone else does.
