Photo Capacity of a 2GB CF Question

This is almost a guess as all I have to compare it to is my Canon 30D (not all that much different), but with a 2GB card at highest quality, I get about 450 jpg's on a 2GB card. However, if you shoot JPG+RAW at highest settings, you only get about 160 or so. You may get more with the XT as I think the MP's are slightly less.

I have an XT. With a 2G SanDisk Ultra II CF card, I get 547 pics. This is in the highest JPEG setting, not RAW.

raw i get think i about 246-9 give or take ( xt) for 2 gb( i'd check but it's in the trunk outside)

I should have said that I do not shoot RAW just JPEG.

Thanks for your help! I am trying to figure out how many cards I need to take for our upcoming 5 day trip (my ds's first so I am sure I will be taking a TON of pics!)

I have a XD card and also a Olympus camera, but if i put it on the setting 1 below the best, i can get around 900 and something. I am taking (2) 1G cards & my laptop, so i can download every night if i want.

I have never used up all my card because I usually delete bad shots during the trip. However, we will be gone for 11 days this time, so I did buy another 2GB card. I had a feeling I would shoot more than 547 for sure!

On a 2gig card with my 30D (8.1 megapixels) shooting in raw I get between 190-200.
