Maybe the difference is I was using Costco Travel agency. I just canceled Costco website.

Makes sense - the Costco rep likely called Disney on your behalf. (Or maybe TAs have a site they can use, but given the stories of them also enduring long holds for things on release days I doubt it).
 
I had the same 334 min quoted around half hour ago as well, and that was an update from an earlier 104 min estimate right after I called in at 8:00 eastern. Yesterday at one point it was way over 400 min. Something odd is going on there.
Will it end up cutting you off if they “close” for the day? I have been quoted 6.5 hrs and all I am trying to do is request a crib and diaper pale for my stateroom.
 
They could alleviate some of this by increasing what you can do on your own on the web site or app. Ie. I need to cancel a booking as I decided to book another date. I should be able to just click a button and get my refund. Nope, have to add to the wait time by calling . Beyond frustrating and unnecessary.

You can do that under your reservation on the website! Just go to your reservations page and navigate to special requests😊

You used to be able to change your cruise online. I’m not sure why they got rid of that option.

We did this one the navigator app. Your stateroom host will handle whatever you need.
 
I called DCL last weekend and was quoted a 442 minute wait, but actually talked to a CM after waiting for 4 hours.
 
I called this afternoon to put a request on my reservation. When I selected the option for "existing cruise", I was quoted a 497 minute wait. I hung up and called back, this time selecting the option for booking a new cruise. After a 15 minute wait, I was talking to an agent.

I didn't pretend to the agent that I was interested in booking a new cruise; I simply put in my request for the existing cruise, which she was happy to fulfill.

I thought about doing that today when I called I was quoted 523 minutes I waited on hold for about an hour then hung up as I got an email that my email had been received and request would be added.
 
I am trying to get through to an agent as well, the only thing I want to do is add ground transportation. I looked and looked online and cannot seem to do it there... and I have been on hold for hours today and Saturday... no luck. I joined here just to hope to get some great advice!

push the option for new cruise, you will get through much faster
 
I was on hold one to two hours each day for the past week without getting through. I saw others reporting a hold time of 6+ hrs. That is not reasonable.

I finally opted for "new reservations -3" and spoke to a representative within minutes. Alternatively I would have tried the travel agent extension next, and explained that there is no getting through on the other extensions.

I do see that option when logged in under "already booked", "my reservations" for one of our reservations. However, not on our latest booking - that one I cannot add or edit anything, none of the options are "actionable" only thing to click is "more information" - where it tells you to call. Not sure why.

Yes, you used to be able to do that, and add ground transportation, edit dining, ect. but as I just responded to another poster, on our newest booking these are not actionable items anymore. I have currently two reservations, so I see the difference.
