Phone messages onboard!

Just wondering if you can retreive messages left on your cabin phone from other places on the ship? We are a party of 21 and don't I want to have to go to my cabin every time I want to find out what someone is doing.

From my experaiance as a cast member, you should be able to do this. The ship uses Meridian Mail (telephone voicemail system). It's the same thing we have at WDW and you can do it remotely there as well. Ask guest services what the voicemail extension is. Usually you just type in an extension (in my case 2010) and it aks you for your mailbox number (your room number). You should probably set it up in your room and get a password set before trying to do this tho.

You may have to dial a 7 first and then the voicemail system. In fact I'm sure that this ability is there. Can you imagine the hotel director always having to go back to her desk to get a voicemail? I don't think so.... If guest services doesn't have a clue, ask her!

Don't see why it would work on board tho!

Most meridian mail systes will allow you to call into your own room, then dial 81 when the voice mail picks upand log in that way.

Yes, I did it on the Magic in June (very handy!). I can't remember the exact directions, but just call the operator & he/she will explain it to you.

But what phones would you use? Do you mean stopping off at guess services and asking to use their phone or ???? I'm trying to visualize the phone you would be using. tia

There are phones all around the ship. You can use those and your room phones.
