I need a new phone. I have had mine for almost 6 years and it was given to me by my SIL who was upgrading - that's how old it is!:lmao: The time has come to move with the times (sort of) and I am thinking of getting an iPhone.

Now here's the problem: I don't have a lot of money, so would it be better to get this deal:
http://shop.tescomobile.com/mobile-phones/pay-monthly/apple/iphone++3gs+8gb?deal=5945
or buy the phone and get a sim only deal?

I know that is the old Iphone but it's still better than the one I am using at the moment!

UPDATE!
A friend has sorted me out with a Tesco Mobile deal - Iphone 3gs, 24 month contract for £18 per month, 1 GB data, 5000 texts and 250 minutes. Will be taking the plunge tomorrow!

I had an iPhone 3G until shortly before Christmas and loved it. The only reason I upgraded to my iPhone 4S was that my old iPhone no longer held a charge, which is not all that surprising considering that it got a lot of use since I got it in July 2008. I would not hesitate at all to go with an iPhone 3G. I would recommend that you go with one of the tariffs that is tailor-made for the iPhone. I was on a Sim only tariff for a while and initially they sold me one that was not suitable for the iPhone. If you purchase the tariff as part of a package, then at least you know that it is the right one for the phone you got.

That is a good point about the tariff. I like Tesco as you can cap it too.:)
