For some reason I was thinking there was a toll free # for DVCers to make priority seatings. Am I wrong in thinking that? If there is one would you please pass it on.

Not an expert, but the Member Services phone number can be used for priority seatings-- not sure if I can post it, but it's in the book, and on the back of your card..
I have seen others advise NOT using MS when you are trying to get a tough priority seating-- they don't open as early in the AM. Hope this helps.

No need to call MS for PS arrangements and no need to pay long distance charges to call WDW-Dine. There are toll-free numbers you can use instead. Copied this from another section of the DIS:

Priority Seating:
A couple of toll-free numbers have recently popped up. They are to the Walt Disney Travel Company but they don't require a caller to have a reservation with WDTC to use it. For each of these numbers, once the message starts, you can get to the WDW Dining cue by pressing 5.

Here are the numbers: 1-877-939-3732 (only works in the US) and 1-800-828-0228 (unknown if this number is limited to the US).

HTH in the future.

Best wishes -

DVC members may call the usual MS number for PS assistance. For time critical PS, MS is not a good option since PS at functions like CRT and Illuminations cruises are usually gone long before MS even opens.

For those types of PS, better plan to call using conventional methods to have the best chance for success.

Some have even emailed MS with PS requests - that way you'll get a written confirmation with the PS information.

Good luck!

What with cell phones, and phone cards, I would think concerns about long distance charges would be a thing of the past. Most of the phone cards I see advertised have a rate of 3 cents a minute. Just a thought :smooth:

MS couldn't make a PS for us for more than 12 people, but what really surprised me is that the Grand Gathering people couldn't make one either and had to put me through to a "group dining" extension. This was for 13 people at Kona Cafe.

Thanks CarolMN for the toll free numbers. I wonder what it's going to take for me to remember to use them!

But you have to pay attention to connection fees and such. A lot of these cards have around a $1 connection fee and then a certain number of cents per minute which means if you get an answering machine or have a short call you're paying, for example, $1.03 per minute.

Haven't run into that.....from my home, it's just 3 cents a minute...and I suspect, for most of us, home is where most calls to WDW originate :smooth:

I must be looking at the wrong cards then. Where do you get yours if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks!
