Does anyone know anything about this. I googled it and had so many offers but they sound too good to be true with LOTS of small print. I'm confused.

I am not really sure what the question is. Are you asking about phone cards?

My family uses jajah.com for calls US/China - probably works for Thailand, too. Free to sign up, low rates, works on landlines or mobiles.

When DH was in Iraq I bought phone cards through a website called nobel or nobelcom, something like that. I can't quite remember which, but if you come across a name like that it is legit and I thought they had good rates.

Sears stores sell what is called an "Asia Phone Card", which appears to have the lowest per-minute rates to most countries in that part of the world (of course, there is a initial connection charge that is higher than the per-minute charge, but if you plan to stay on the phone awhile, you'll come out better, the long run).

Also, the calling cards you buy at Costco (Verizon) and Sam's Club (AT&T) offer great rates, too!

Nobelcom worked great when we went to Russia last year. It was very inexpensive per minute and my family had a code they could use to call us as well.

Thanks to everyone. I'm looking into those potions now! This may make my son very happy!
