Phoenix sightseeing musts

What is there to do in Phoenix? We will be spending 3 days in this city after we visit Sedona and the GC. My boys are 9 and 11. Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks.

It really depends on the time of the year you are going.

If it's summer, you want something water related or inside, like the science center. Or a baseball game at Chase Field with the retractable roof. Very family friendly stadium.

Other seasons are great for hiking trails or the zoo.

Spring has MLB spring training all over town.

Are you really going to be in Phoenix?

I ask because my parents live in Scottsdale. Phoenix is one of those places, you could actually be in any number of towns/cities and that would make a big difference as to what would be recommended to do...

When I was in high school, I visited a friend in Phoenix. We went to an old western town one night that was awesome! I think it was www rawhide com/attractions html but I'm not completely sure. This place was in Chandler, AZ.
