Hey...maybe it's an alphabetical thing today...first we heard about Dings from Lousville, then Midway, then Nashville, then Orlando, then Philly...maybe Raleigh (i.e. ME!) will be next! (or is there a "Q" city???

WooHoo! I booked my airfare this past week figuring I would never get a Ding! I have FINALLY received my Philly Ding and got a credit of $300 to use by next August I'm so excited I can't stand it!

Actually, I believe Dings have now become airport specific. So, if what I heard is correct, we will only be getting Dings from our home airport. It just so happened that everyone posted their personal dings in alphabetical order today.

The PHL ding is good Sept 1-Oct 31.

Thanks. Can't use that Ding yet...our flight is in December.

Thanks for liking the picture. He is a Beagle. He doesn't have the classic Beagle snout though (his is a little more pointy) and he doesn't have the normal tri-color pattern on his head. I tend to like Beagles with a little darker coloring, and he fits the bill!

If that's the case, then my home airport is about to become MCO. I watch fares from 3 cities that SWA flies in/out of....I am only watching for airfare to Orlando, anyway, LOL...

I just called SW and they told me I would have to cancel my reservation and rebook to get the ding price, they said they could not just credit me the difference. I have 11 seats reserved, I'm not sure I want to risk not getting us all on the same plane. Is this really how you have to get the credit?

Yes, but you can get all the way through the process to the payment part before you cancel your old reservation. That way, I believe you are holding 11 seats while you pay. You just need to be ready to plug in your old confirmation number quickly.

I actually went almost all the way thru the Ding process and then called the 800 # & they cancelled my current reservation while I was on the phone. I then just finished the Ding page using the same confirmation # I originally had where it says ticketless voucher info. I now have a credit that I have up to 1 year from the original purchase date to use. HTH

I got Dinged today too! Islip/Long Island to Orlando $54.00! Got a credit of $126.00 on our orginal flights! (Same flights!)
