Philly folks: how is the security wait at PHL term. E?

I'm about to visit Philadelphia for the first time, and I'd appreciate some help figuring my airport timing, if anyone who flies through there often would be kind enough to advise me.

I have a flight leaving at 5:10 pm on a Wednesday out of Terminal E. Are there any security issues there that are likely to require extra time, or is the usual arrive-at-security-90 minutes before boarding probably going to be sufficient?

TIA!

Arriving 90 minutes before should be sufficient. I usually arrive 2 hours early, but I like to sit down and relax in the terminal. That being said, I don't think I've taken a flight that has left at a peak time before. I usually take the early morning flights.

Ditto! Now if only people could be prepared when getting in line!

Flew to Tampa out of Philly last weekend. Security wasn't horrendous at all. However, I got pulled out for additional screening. I set off the "random screening" beeper as I went through security. Lucky me. The additional screening didn't take long, either.

gotta go with a few other posters. I generally arrive 2 hours before hand. I usually have a first flight of the day though. The only security issue I ever encountered is shift change at 6:00 am.

I've been through PHL when the lines are non-existent, and been there when I've had to wait nearly 50 minutes.

I always allow 2 hours before flight time to make sure.

Terminal E is usually not an issue...B and C are USAir's and I have seen that get very backed up

Philly really isn't bad. Tampa, Fl the last couple of times I flew there was another story.

MInimum 90 minutes especially....if you are parking in economy lot.
