Philly DVCers

Go Nova!

My DH, who was a military brat, had to get used to the idea that when cheering for NOVA, one was not cheering for Northern Virginia Community College.

What do St. Joe grads call Villanova grads? Boss!

Gotta Laugh.;)

LMAO!!!! Love it!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

For the record, my FIL is a St. Joe's grad who played basketball for Jack Ramsey. Here's our typical conversation --
ME: So what's with the bird?
HIM: It's a hawk.
ME: Which is, as I recall, a bird.:p

Well, it is a Philadelphia thread though almost everyone who's posting doesn't live in Philly, and since the few people I know who live in Cape May County are Flyers fans, Cape May can count. :-)

I know.....it just always seems like Philly, it's suburbs and south Jersey are all one big community ! :grouphug: :thewave:

I don't know of ANYONE that lives int he 5 county (8 if you count south jersey) area that doesn't call themselves philadelphians.

Even when I lived in North Wilmington (DE) I told people that I lived in Philadelphia. It cleared out the confusion.

It's a KNOW fact that you don't live in philadelphia when the Cheesesteaks start taking funny (generally 40 mile radius).

family of 4 here from south jersey only about 35min from philly airport. pennsville is the name of the town. yes we are also flyers fans, eagles too. will be going to wdw oct.2-oct.9 2004. staying at our home resort for the first time bcv. taking the whole family 14 of us will be going. cant wait.

I'd venture to say your mileage is off by a factor of 10, but my BIL who was raised in south philly before fleeing to the suburbs has been raved about someplace out in bucks county. Me I'm a purist. There's only 2 places that we think of when someone says cheesesteak. ;)

-Joe, livin' in the big bad city.
