AWESOME!

I wanted to do both atleast 3 more times but just didn't have time. I can't wait to go back.

We had a wait for Soarin' and I kept thinking "this better be good", it totally exceeded my expectations.

My DD6 also loved both attractions. Make sure both are on your to do list, you won't regret it!

I 2nd that! We are going in a month and those 2 top are lists of must do's. Our must do's are a minimum of 4 rides each.

Did both this past July and the family loved them so much we did each 3 times.

Philharmagic was such a wonderful, unexpected surprise the first time I experienced it. I documented it in my solo trip report in my .sig. I was so impressed I go at least a couple of times each day I visit the MK.

I'm not the biggest fan of screen-based attractions, or 3-D, but Philharmic is such a cohesive experience it's so easy to get lost in the magic I forget. The in-theater effects are the best Disney has done yet - the splash of water in your face is what I look forward to the most on a hot Florida day.

Here's a Philharmagic question I've always wondered about : where do you choose to sit? 90% of the time I sit as far in the back as I can. A couple of times I've sat nearer the front, and while the show is much more "in your face" there (because of how much larger and immersive the screen is from there), I found I generally perfer the back as the 3-D seems more realistic from back there.

What does your family do?

When will Soarin by over Florida at WDW?

They aren't doing Soarin' Over Florida. That would be one boring attraction, LOL.

Current rumos (very strong) suggest that the new "Soarin' around the World" (or whatever they end up naming it) being filmed for the DLP Studio park's new clone will also come to WDW. Apparently it's either being filmed now or being filmed very soon, and could appear as early as Fall 2007.

Try to use the Fast Pass or do the EMH if you're staying on property. We did this for the Soarin' and we were able to ride it back to back.. the wait time was only 20 minutes.

Oooh! Soarin' Around the World?! I can't wait!

I completely agree about Philharmagic! It was my first trip to WDW, and I walked down Main Street and around the park, and still didn't feel quite like I had "arrived" yet, if you know what I mean. We wandered into Philharmagic, and I instantly felt I had arrived!! We made a point to see it several more times on our vacation, and I look forward to seeing it again next year when we return!

REALLY looking forward to experiencing BOTH of these attractions!!!!

I guess I'll be the party pooper here and say that while I LOVED Mickey's Philharmagic (excellent attraction) :thumbsup2 , I was definitely disappointed in Soarin'. The film cut in and out of certain parts too quickly, the orange smell (don't get me wrong..........I love the smell of oranges) lingered too long into clips that didn't go with the smell, the queue area was a little boring compared to most, and the dangling feet sort of took awayfrom the entire experience. I could have just said that I wasn't impressed, but then everyone would want to know what I didn't like, so there you have it! :teeth: That said, I would still do Soarin' in the future, it just won't be a "must do" for me.

We loved Soarin and Mickeys Philharmagic too!! The Philharmagic was the last thing we did after the MVMCP was pretty much over. We were there with about 5 other people. DD7 slept through it in the stroller and thte rest of us got to enjoy one last showing for the night. What a magical way to end the evening!

That's ok, more room for us! We love it, and Philharmagic is a must do every time. :thumbsup2

I love both of these as well, definitely two of my absolute favorites.

I completely agree :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !!! Potentially the best rides in WDW. Well except peter pan of course ;)

I like Soarin' (I grew up in California), but I do agree that the queue area is strangely barren compared to the queue areas of other signature attractions. I noticed that during my most recent trip as I walked through on Fastpass and took pity on people who had to wait 75 minutes in the line.
