Philadelphia with young children???

we're heading down to VA/MD and are trying to figure out a fun stop in between. I'm wondering if there is anything fun for young kids (ages 2 and 4) in philly. any suggestions?

2 and 4, tiny guys. They would enjoy the Phila. Zoo, Sesame Place, Please Touch Museum, and now they have Ride The Ducks, which takes you on a tour of Historic Phila, and a short river cruise.(about 80 min.) They would love the "quakers" they let kids blow (and adults), but little kids might be a bit bored on the tour. There is a lot to do in Philly, but 4 and 2 are a bit too young for the historical things. I'll try to think of more and post later.

Not sure which route you are taking down, but how about Hershey Park or Dutch Wonderland, both in PA.

A 4 year old and a 2 year old would probably love Sesame Place more than any other Philly stop.

Beware, though....Sesame Place is no Disney World (except, of course, for the prices). It's located in a mall parking lot (yes, a mall parking lot). The mall is called Oxford Valley Mall, located in Langhorne, PA.

It's located right off I-95, so it's very convenient, and there are a few nice hotels in the area. It's about $40 per person to go to Sesame Place, and they consider anyone over 2 years old to be an adult

They have a new section called Elmo's World that is just going to open this season. I'm sure it will be cute.

I've been to Sesame Place about 5 or 6 times so far. For a little kid, it's a great choice.
