Wow, I didn't know I had the 3rd post in this thread. That was way back when this was still the Marine Corps Marathon thread. I wasn't even planning on running it then. I think I decided in June or July of 2008 to run the Marine Corps Marathon after it had already closed.

Let's just say that DH is in Vegas on business from Wenesday until Sunday at midnight that week so I can only be IRRESPONSIBLE to a point in abandoning my DD's and the pup for the weekend DH just laughed at lunch when I told him I was considering RUNNING the full now on Sunday

Before you all get the WRONG idea - I will be having my girls stay with my folks and my puppy will be staying at Bellyrubs Doggy Daycare. It's not going to be a situation requiring social services intervention Everyone will be in very competent hands during my absence but I do feel kind of lame for bailing with DH away Not lame enough to prevent me from going

Cindy - It's a "she" and we're picking her up on 12/11. Until then, we visit her everyday (she was sleeping on Corrine in that pic). It'll be our first adventure with a dog since I've been a cat person to date . I'm a little scared but I'm sure it's all going to be okay
